Nicholas 'Nick' Aldrich CHARMING CHARISMATIC CONFIDENT DOUBLE-SIDED HETEROSEXUAL SINGLE there are two sides to nick, the side he lets take over and the side he has hidden away, the side he's forcing out of sight and out of mind in order to stop the pain, guilt and self loathing from seeping through. he comes across as a very charming, confident man, people are drawn to him very quickly and he uses that to his advantage. he only has a few friends in the states and with friends i don't mean the type of friends you tell everything, i mean the type of friends you keep around simply because you don't want to go out alone, friends he pretends to care about, who he spends his money on to keep around. the chances of nick opening up to someone is slight to none, he trusts no one and doesn't want to either, for him it's saver that way. when it comes to relationships, nick has none, he's the one night stand type of guy, the type who'd spend all his time trying to get you and once he has you, he leaves you, he forces himself to make it all about the sex, he won't let himself develop feelings for someone.
there is another side to nick, a side that's almost never seen, the side that did along with his sister in london. he used to be very kind and caring, he would've done anything for anyone, and helping people was all he wanted to do back then. he used to be generous, he would donate some of his inheritance to charities, for selfless reasons, he never told anyone, he still donates today, but now it’s only to impress people, nothing good is left in him, well not that he’ll let out at least. he used to treat women like greatest treasures on earth, but now they’re just another element in life he can use to make himself forget. he’s aggressive, but not toward women, toward men, it doesn’t take much to set him off and as you know, he’s more than capable of murder when he gets too angry.
nick secretly uses a lot of drugs and he loves pain in a strange way, nothing makes him feel as excited, as alive as he feels when he’s in physical pain. he’s reckless and doesn’t care about anyone, not even himself. t used to be hard for him to be this way, but now it’s hard for him not to, the good nick is still in there somewhere, but for now, only the bad nick roams the surface.

so, first off, i absolutely adore nick, and it's not just because joseph morgan is his face. xD he's so just... awesome. and the first character i thought of when reading about him and his personality is my boy jett here. jett is a little bit less than sane, so he could maybe bond with nick in that way? lol jett loves fire, he's part of the irish mob, and he's a ballistics expert. idk how they could meet, but i could just see them becoming friends. jett is also really low key when it comes to everything, so he wouldn't care if nick didn't trust him or whatever. it wouldn't hurt his feelings, let's just say that. lol he'd just be like "chill, lad. let's set something on fire." xD that's his way of solving all of life's troubles.
as for my other babies, we OBVS have to plot nick and porter somehow because i'm a tvd fan. lmao porter's often a douche to people he doesn't know, and he's filthy rich so he looks down on folks who don't have as much money as him. so maybe enemies?
my boy connor is the same age as nick i believe (nick's 26, right?), and connor went to college in england, so maybe they met there? connor would appreciate the 'crazy' in nick. he's a pervert and a jerk, and he happens to be the leader of that same mob jett is a member of, so if he didn't meet nick in london, he could've met him through jett? connor would probably try to recruit him once he sees his potential for bloodthirstiness. he's all about the business. lol lennox is his brother, and also part of the mob although he doesn't like his part in it like connor does. he's the nicer brother, and cares more about people so he may or may not get along with nick depending on the impression he got from him.
my girl shasta is really the freest of my ladies, and considering her relationship with caleb is soon going to fizzle out, she'll totally be up for grabs in the near future. i've been wanting her to get into drugs somehow after she and caleb break up, so maybe she could meet nick that way? they could have some drugged up fwb thing going on for a while? it wouldn't be right away, but down the road a little ways? i really want her to fall off the wagon and make a big stink around town. lol
the rest of my charries (pixie, noah, ferris, and akeno) and kinda unplottable with him because of various reasons, but if you have any ideas for any of them, i'm up for them! i love plotting, and i just have to plot with you somehow! <3

Nick & JettI can see these two being friends, the closest thing to a real friend Nick could have at the moment at least. How does Jett feel about fights? They could've met in a bar somewhere and Nick could've helped him in a little brawl or something, just because he felt like it. He likes getting hurt so he doesn't really need a reason to fight. He'd pretty much turn into Nick's go to guy if he wants to go out and do something. Dunno, just an idea. Plotting isn't something I'm good at, following plots is more my style, hehe. I'm up for ANYTHING. Nick & PorterIan Somerhalder -drools-, I'm also a huge fan of TVD so yes, we def. have to plot them Nick would have a lot of enemies, he has loads of money himself but just the fact that Porter would look down on him if he didn't would piss him off. I can see them sort of competing against each other in things as well, trying to proof who's the best in whatever. Nick & ConnorSince Nick used to be a cop in England I don't think they would've gone to the same college, but they could've met there still. Jett could've introduced them as well, maybe Jett told Nick about being part of the mob, or he didn't and just introduced Connor as a friend. As far as the recruiting thing goes, Nick would probably be up for it, of course a part of him, the good part wouldn't but he'd keep that part pushed down as he always does. Nick & ShastaNick would introduce her to drugs, the higher the girl, the easier she is. He doesn't care about taking advantage of someone. He usually just does one night stands, but maybe he decides differently about Shasta for some reason. I was thinking about making him develop feelings for someone again, it would be fun to write his internal struggle with protecting his feelings versus taking a chance on someone he has feelings for. This would probably also only happen later, just something I was thinking about doing. For now she can be a girl he messes around with when he feels like it. He'd be a gentleman and such toward her for a while, but I'm not sure how long it would last. He might just start treating her like dirt once she's hooked, might not, I'm not sure how far I want to take his evil personality just yet. As I said, I suck with plotting, but if you can think of something else, I don't care how dramatic, shocking or crazy it is, give me a shout, I'm up for anything.

Hi!
So I have a couple of characters that would maybe sorta work with Nick. The first one is:
Asher Selwyn He's the youngest sibling in the Selwyn clan at 21. He's still sort of finding himself even though he's trained himself in every fighting aspect known to the mob.T The thing is, he was born prematurely and really sick for a while, and that led to complications later in life, which led to him being diagnosed with leukemia. The point is, he believes he was and is always seen as the weakest link in the family. He hates his father and he can be a bit of a sarcastic idiot to his siblings. But he's just trying to prove himself and for some reason I feel like he'd want to hang out with Nick. I mean, they don't have to be best buds or anything, but for some reason I feel as if they could work. Besides, Asher could either hook him up with drugs, not that he's a drug dealer, or he could give him that dangerous feeling he's looking for. I mean, Asher is good with a gun and he could take him shooting or something. I dunno..I'd like them to be "friends" if that could work. Unless you had any other ideas?
Eli Byrne Eli is the one that I think would work the best. To put it simply she's a heartless bitch that cares about her job and her twin brother and nothing else. Not even herself. Like Nick, she's got a past that she hides deep inside of her. No one else knows about it, not even her twin so it'll be a miracle if she even tells Nick if they get that close. She's an ex Marine gone bad because of the path that took her down. Her time as a Marine was what really messed her all up. It's a long story and in her history if you feel like reading it. But anyway. She comes across as ruthless and she will. She's not afraid to punch a guy three times her size because she's got the muscles and the weapons to back it up. She's a gun runner for the Irish mob and for good reason. She's the best at what she does. She's also an assassin, and hitman of some sort. If someone wants someone killed, they go to her.
She's bloodthirsty and actually loves to kill. She's all about the violence because she knows it keeps people away from her. She knows how to fight and there isn't anything that gentle or fragile about her. She doesn't love easily and if they have anything at first it'll probably be casual get together buddies. I'd like her to settle down eventually but she has such horrible trust issues that I'd feel bad for the guy in case she decides to pull a gun on them. Eli will have a stubborn love affair with Connor Selwyn, who is her brother's best friend. Believe me she hates that man but it's the way things will work out. Uhhh what else...she's an Irish blonde bombshell, and she's got the attitude and defiance to back that statement up. At 23, she's trying to move on past the despair in her life without anyone knowing that she's hurting a lot. She's strong and always has been. It's what was required of her throughout her entire life.
So yeah...plot away??

Nick & AsherNick needs a few "friends" and I think he'd see Asher as sort of a sidekick/wingman, he knows his way around a gun, but I wouldn't say he's a pro so maybe they could go to the range and blow off some steam every now and then... It could even be where they met. He can also be Nick's go to guy for the drugs he wants, he needs one so that'll help . Nick & EliI like picturing my character's reaction toward someone and right now Nick is nudging me and going bananas. He, and I of course, loooove Eli. She's defenitely the type of girl Nick would go for and would consider being "friends" with. I think it could be good if he meets her somewhere, tries his usual routine on her but fails miserably, this would only make him more interested and would cause him to step up his game, or play it from a different angle. He could offer being "just friends" with an ulterior motive of course and later end up actually seeing her as one, which will really mess with his head because well, he doesn't really care much for anyone, considering someone a real friend isn't a comprehensible thing for him. We can think about making them more than friends later on, throw in some benefits, let it escalate from there. Thoughts?

Nick and Asher:
I can see them being "friends" definitely. Asher would have no problem getting Nick what he needs or want for some things in return! But yeah, I see Asher as a sidekick to Nick because that's what Asher is used to. He needs a firing buddy though because he can't exactly broadcast his gun skills to his brother Connor. He's going for the surprise approach when it comes to that...long story. But I like this a lot!
Nick and Eli:
I am in love with them already! I just can't even! But I love everything that you said. Eli would definitely shoot him down the first time he made an advance and any time after that. She's a tough girl and she doesn't take crap from anyone, as mentioned. But honestly Nick would be the kind of guy that she goes for. They're more alike than I think either of them realize and for some reason, once they get closer, I see them helping one another through everything they've been through. I think that eventually, if they do start dating, which I am totally for by the way, she would actually open up to him. She needs someone she can trust outside of her brother and even though it would take some time, I really see them working out. The fact that she would care that much for someone would definitely scare her and she might become standoffish when it first happens. She would push him away for sure but if he made the effort to come after her she'd realize that it would be okay.
But she is really mean and will be extremely hostile with him at first. If he is too pushy with his come ons she will hit him or do something to him to make him back off. I think it would be funny as a first thread kind of thing. Like maybe he goes to sit with her or walk next to her or whatever and she'd just kinda grab his arm and pull it behind his back? Something like that? I dunno how you'd feel about it but for some reason it makes me laugh haha. Anyway...I am in love love love LOVE with them! What do you think?

Nick & Eli I basically agree with it all, Nick won't admit his feelings easily, he's been fighting against everything good about him for so long he has almost forgotten it's there. I am for them dating though, but they'd need to build up to it, the harder he'd have to work for it, the more it'll impact him. Going from pretending to be her friend to actually seeing her as a friend is a huge thing, from there it'll be a huge internal struggle for him too and he'll probably keep his distance when he realizes he has feeling for her. I think he'd be the one to crack and fess up to her though, if she pushes him away as well. I'm so frikken excited . I'm in for her getting violent, It'll make Nick even more interested since he's practically addicted to pain and well, like violence. He wouldn't even make an effort to stop her. Might be creepy for her when he starts laughing or something, but he's just creepy like that.
