| [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: none;,true][cs=2][atrb=width,300] hey there. the name's ariadne kahlan majere! i go by ari too if you were wondering. also i'll have you know that i am twenty-one & loving it. oh. you've heard that I'm heterosexual? & that I'm from nowhere really? well the rumors are true for once. well I gotta get going, velvet revolver is calling. see ya'! history ariadne was not born and raised in sapphire bay, and it's a long and complicated story as to how she got here. by birth, although she's never known her birth parents, ariadne is french. however, as a baby, she and her twin brother were given up for adoption. they were both adopted by a loving couple, but when that couple died tragically in a car crash, the toddlers were thrown into the foster system. thankfully, they were able to stay together through all of the homes they were placed in, and when they were sixteen, they ran away from their most recent home. the child services system was instantly after them, so they had to mix in with the crowds. they moved to los angeles and lived in alleys and back rooms of night clubs and bars for two years, doing jobs here and there bussing tables and other odd assignments. when they turned eighteen, the bar owner who owned the bar they lived in at the time decided they were old enough to legally live on their own, and he kicked them out. he didn't mean anything by it, and he thought he was doing the best for them. however, things went even farther downhill from that point onward. having a hard time making money in such a large city, the twins dipped to some new lows. ariadne's brother, hunter, fell into drug dealing for fast cash, and ariadne fell into prostitution. they began making money, but they were making friends with some low people. hunter also became an addict while being a drug dealer. he became reckless and dangerous, and he honestly scared his sister who was his closest friend, his partner in crime. eventually, he fell into a bad situation ariadne couldn't save him from. when a drug deal went badly, an angry rival tracked him down and attacked him. he was shot three times in the chest and once through the head, killing him instantly. ariadne never got the chance to tell him goodbye. following his death, she moved away from los angeles to the small town of sapphire bay where she currently works at the burlesque club, velvet revolver. personality hunter's death tore her apart and changed her entirely. although she led a dark life from childhood, ariadne had always been a happy person. she just had a positive personality despite all of the bad things she had to endure. she's never questioned who her real parents are, although she does have a mild curiosity as to where she really came from. after the loss of the one family member she's known her whole life, she just hasn't been the same. she's often seen as a slut - and she is in a basic sense - because she just blanks out her mind and does her job to make the money she needs to survive. she flirts with men and tries to sleep with them so she can get paid, but there's no emotion there. she's cold but not heartless. she's the sweetest girl on the inside, she just doesn't open up to anyone. she sees outsiders as dangerous to her wellbeing, and she feels alone in the world. she's friendly, but everything about her has a coldness to it. it's not that she's standoffish or rude, she just comes across as distant and broken. and it's very true. she was shattered by her brother's death, and she has nothing to live for other than the fact that she doesn't believe in suicide. | [atrb=width,200] |
