aless too if you were wondering. also i'll have you know that i am age & loving it. oh. you've heard that I'm heterosexual? & that I'm from murmansk, russia? well the rumors are true for once. well I gotta get going, being a pretender for the irish mob is calling. see ya'! history sutton was born to anna and alexandre udinov in the far northern russian city of murmansk, along the northern coast of russia close to finland. she was the youngest of twins, but her older sister died after only five short weeks of life from SIDS. she grew up in a poor neighborhood, with her parents scraping money together to get by. her father worked in a coal mine and her mother worked at a local laundromat in town. they heated their house with firewood found from scrap lumber yards on the outskirts of town and, occassionally, with trash. sutton had very little formal education growing up, except what the government provided, but she was always an intelligent child. she would help her mother at work from a young age, and her personality was very enigmatic and magnetic even when she was a toddler. when she went to school, she excelled at what she was given, and she soaked up information like a sponge. she never had a subject she particularly disliked; she just hungered for knowledge. she also had a very photographic memory: if she saw something once, she could duplicate it exactly, whether it be a painting or a mathematical equation. this gift led to her exploring when she became a teenager. she invented ways to make her family money, and one of them was impersonating various professionals and stealing their money. she would pretend to be a dentist's assistant one day and take home the money from the front desk; and the next day she would be a cashier at a local grocery store and she'd pilfer the day's earnings from the register on her way out. she was often drug into the police station, but she never carried any incriminating evidence on her, so she was never caught. this was what caught the attention of the russian mafia. as with any crime organization, the russian mafia has eyes on every aspect of the crime world, and the clever antics of the young sutton udinov didn't go unnoticed. the bratva became especially interested in her because, although she was brought in, she was never caught and never being caught is important if you're going to become a good criminal. when sutton was sixteen years old, she was approached by a low level member of the bratva and escorted to a meeting with one of the second level leaders, boris vladislov. he offered her a job with the mafia as a 'pretender'. what she was to do was exactly what she'd been doing for years for fun, except in much higher positions than ever before. she would become a professional impersonator to both make the bratva money and to assist with assassinations and money laundering as well as other things. the mafia promised her parents would be taken care of if she devoted herself to them, so she agreed. her parents were the whole reason she'd started 'pretending' to begin with. as long as the bratva held up their end of the bargain, and she held up hers, she was happy. the mafia treated her well, and she did many jobs for them over the next three years. when she was nineteen, she was sent on assignment as a pilot with the russian airforce to target a higher level officer. the mafia planned to take him down and cripple the military, and it was sutton's job to infiltrate and seduce him. she succeeded within six short months and practically had the guy begging her to marry him. it was on a trip to belfast, ireland that everything went wrong. the irish mafia had plans of their own. knowing russian bratva operatives were on board the plane coming into the belfast airport, the irish mafia gunned the plane down. sutton and the russian airforce colonel did everything they could to save the plane, but the plane as well as the millions of laundered russian dollars onboard crashlanded in the irish countryside outside of belfast. sutton's mark died in that crash, but she managed to survive, barely. as she crawled away from the wreckage as it smoked and dangerously began to come close to combusting, she was grabbed by the irish and taken hostage. she was used as a prisoner of war in the irish's ploy against the russians, but the bratva was unwilling to relinquish any of their power to save such a lowly peon. instead, they told the irish they could have her, and they killed her parents in cold blood, sending the message that her failure was unacceptable. unfortunately, sutton was not accustomed to torture, and when the irish tortured her for information, she spilled everything she knew (which, admittedly wasn't much) as well as what she did for the russians. the belfast charter of the irish mafia debated killing her, but after notifying their leader in california, they were ordered to save her to further their own means. sutton was transported from belfast to dublin where she was forcibly trained in the ways of the irish mafia for two years before being sent to sapphire bay to be with the main unit. personality sutton can duplicate anything she's seen once. that means if she's seen someone build an engine to a car, she can do it. she's got a strange sort of gift, you might say. her memory is wildly photographic and she will remember anything she's seen, even if it's for a brief moment. she is extremely intelligent despite the fact she hasn't had much formal schooling. she also hates when people think she's stupid because she's a girl. she's fluent in at least three languages, and she's always working to better herself. she is a very magnetic person and she's also very enigmatic, which does her well in her line of work. she's likable to just about anyone, and she has the tendency to pretend she likes some people if she thinks it will benefit her in the long run, even if she honestly doesn't like the person. however, she isn't a phony when it comes right down to her true emotions. she isn't the least bit afraid to tell someone what she thinks, and she can be very matter-of-fact and rudely blunt. she also hates the irish because they destroyed her life, but she strangely doesn't hate the russian mafia for what they did to her family. she knows she failed in her mission, so she sees the morbid justification behind the killing of her parents even though it tears her apart that she's the only remaining person in her bloodline. instead of hating the russian bratva, she holds all of her grudges against the irish, blaming them for her own shortcomings and for forcing her to become part of them. she doesn't hide this dislike for them, especially for the selwyns and sullivans: the leading families. |
