. Her meal choice for the date had taken careful decision, plenty of thought that filled up much of time consisting of the rest of Vienna's week. Ultimately she had decided on something Italian, recalling that Johnny had stressed a few times his Italian heritage. The creation was meals turned out to be one of her strong points, leaving her to find it enviably easy to whip up a meal coming from nearly ethnicity of the world. Chicken marsala was the choice of the night, thanks to Vienna's vague knowledge on Italian cuisine. It would be a long shot, made on a whim to see how much Johnny would come to appreciate her effort. Yes, she was seeking out his approval, subconsciously but still it was all the same. She had no complaints about making pasta, steamed vegetables, and a caprese salad to carry on with the rest of the meal, considering they couldn't eat the chicken marsala alone. All of her abilities in the kitchen were being resharpened and at the same time Johnny would introduced to a more natural part of her personality, one that had survived through Odessa's death.
A whole week had been given to mull over the whim she had gone on to invite Johnny to her house, Uncle Nate's home actually, for a dinner. Technically it was considered a date, she had even referred to it as the 'd' word. In bed she had tossed and turn back forth, reaching for her phone immediately to text Johnny. After their midday dinner she had casually traded numbers with him, swearing if was because she needed some way to give him her address for Friday. Since then she had rarely let her phone leave her hands, for fear that she would miss a text message from Johnny. They talked about everything and nothing, the tiny things that truly meant nothing. A constant rush of conversation was simply comforting, but also terrifying because she knew on Friday he would be in her home to taste test a dinner that originally started out as a taunting challenge. Legitimate, the date was completely real and no hoax. Years had past since the last date that Vienna could recall. Back in her days when unruly ruled dates had not been average, sleeping around and one night stands were what she had thought of as a date. Johnny was not a douche, he was a gentleman, and she was not a tramp, she was respectable.
Eight o'clock ticked by more quickly then she imagined or could have anticipated. Everything was already set out in the dining room and the whole meal was completely prepared, ready to be heated up by the staff if Johnny decided it had gotten too cold by the time he arrived. For this encounter Vienna had left her Converse and jeans placed back in her closet and instead stepped into an outfit she hoped Johnny would take as a formal casual look. Ten times over she had thought out wearing heels and a flashy dress, something Charlotte would have looked at in awe, before shutting down the idea each time. Johnny was simple, unlike the bulk of things which were tucked away in her extensive wardrobe. She felt comfortable but at the same time wanted to shed her skin and unwind into a mess of nothingness. Recently she only stepped back into the social scene with the gentle prompting of her uncle and now here she was pacing around the foyer waiting for her date to arrive. What was even more shocking was that Vienna had arranged the whole thing on her own pretenses. Johnny had no part of it besides agreeing to play along with her foolishness. Maybe his only ulterior motive was to worm his way past her vulnerability to expose all of her insides to the denizens of Sapphire Bay. Paranoid thinking, it was what Vienna prided herself on anymore.
To Johnny her house was probably just another one of the elite housing, nothing special to glance twice at. Her heart began to thud in her chest crazily when the guard at the front desk paged to the foyer, asking if a Johnny had been requested. She mumbled back a 'yes' and stood closely to the door, staring at the stained glass of the door to watch as his personal driver wound around the wide curve around the fountain and rolled to an expert stop at the staircase which lead to the front door. Her fingers pried the door open before Johnny actually had the chance to make his way up all the steps. "I suppose I got a little too eager..." she squeaked out, posh accent sounding comical mixed with her anxiety. Her bright blue colored nails stood out and she reached out with one hand to grab gently at his forearm. Silently she led him into the house, leaving one of the lingering staff to close the door shut. For a moment she lingered in the foyer, looking at him with a very weak smile. "Let me take you to the dining room." Each room grew more extravagant as they passed, but Vi left Johnny no time to gawk, only pulled him into the dining room and motioned to the table that seated twenty, which was only set for two. "I hope chicken marsala is alright," she sheepishly said, dropping his arm to float her tiny frame over to one of the chairs.

. Looking at himself in the mirror, he made a funny face before pulling at his cheeks. His skin was tanner then it had ever been before, his hair a golden brown, his eyes brilliant blue, and yet he had never been this nervous before in his life. Usually, Johnny was good at pretending as though everything was alright, but not tonight. Right now, with the pastries on the table by the door and his clothes neatly pressed, he had never felt more nervous. Vienna, whether she knew it or not, was one of the first girls that he could see himself with later in life, and it scared him. Most girls were just good distractions and he wished that she could be one too. But Vienna, in his eyes, was amazing and beautiful and so mysterious. He wanted to hold her and kiss her and love her like he knew he could if he had the chance. But it would not happen that way. There was always something in the way, and right now, it was his nerves. His nerves were killing him and making him want to cry but he sucked it up.
Mady had been a distraction and Vivienne…she wasn’t to be mentioned anytime soon. That beautiful blond shell had almost been the death of him and there was no way he was going into that discussion right now. She had been his first love, his ideal love at the time, but he had heard she had gone downhill. Hell, he had seen her go downhill. Vile rose in his throat as he realized he should tell Vienna who he had seen and where he had seen her. Telling a hopefully girlfriend that he had seen his ex in a burlesque club was not exactly something that could be brought up over dinner. It wasn’t like he wanted to talk about it at all. She was part of the past and he wanted to forget about her, but that was impossible. Vivienne had been his first love, his first sexual enjoyment and his first heartbreak. She had killed him inside and now she was going downhill. He wanted to help her, he really did, but he didn’t know how. She was different than the girl he had loved all those years ago. She wasn’t the one he wanted, but he still felt as though he had to protect her. Whether this was because he still loved her or not, well, he wasn’t ready to admit the truth.
Biting his bottom lip, he turned away from the mirror and made his way into the small foyer. His home was nothing like her extravagant house, he was sure. He lived pay check to pay check and he was sure that she had a trust fund that could pay for all his college bills and more. But that didn’t matter. Johnny wasn’t into money as much as everyone else; he just wanted to get to know the girl that was capturing his heart. He wanted her to worm her way into her life and he wanted to worm his way into her life. The car ride over was a short one, but it felt like an eternity. The food, which consisted of pastries and cakes, sat on the seat next to him. Smiling when the huge house, which made his heart beat fast, came into view, he realized that everything would be alright. And even if it wasn’t, well, it would be a lesson well learned not to trust the extremely rich people.
He hadn’t even had the chance to ring the doorbell when the door opened allowing him his first view of the pretty brunette. His breath escaped him and he took in her stunning yet casual appearance. His heart began to beat even faster than before and he was sure he would have a heart attack. ”You look stunning” Johnny finally got out, his eyes wide as saucers. A small blush appeared on his cheeks but he pretended that nothing was wrong. He felt her fingers on his arms and he followed her, trying not to drop the plates in his hand. As the rooms got grander, Johnny began to feel extremely poor. He felt as though he was worth nothing and the paintings on the wall were probably worth more than his crappy apartment doubled. If this went anywhere, she would never be allowed to enter his apartment that was for sure. Placing the plates down on the empty table, he internally sighed before smiling brightly. ”Your place is alright,” he teased as he pulled the seat out for her. ”And its perfect. Anything that doesn’t come in a premade box is fine with me” he chuckled, focusing his eyes on her.

. All of this was utterly terrifying to the girl who had avoided the delicate subject of love since Odessa had been torn from her life. Their friendship may had been still progressing but their feelings towards each other had been made clearly known through their rapid fire text messaging. Vienna had used every nerve in her body to keep herself from closing in on herself and also closing Johnny out at the same time. Once she realized someone was moving their way closer to her her automatic defense mechanism was to let her walls collapse to crush everything that had been established. Johnny had made the whole current situation different from anything that Vienna had ever experienced. Yes, it was scary as hell knowing that Johnny was slowly making a place in her life, but it was the kind of scary that she wanted. As imposing as it was she was completely welcoming him at the same time. He gave her more comfort and pasted more smiles onto her face than anyone else had been able to since after the death of her best mate. Everything about this young man was illuminating and bright, she wanted in on it even if she felt like it would snap every bit of structure she had made to support herself. He was going to be worth the risk.
She hadn't realized until she was guiding him through the hall that they probably had a bit of separation in the way their lives ran. For the longest time she had been under the assumption that every other family in the world had the opportunity to live as lavishly as herself. It never registered that others had to struggle to see that they made the livings they deserved to try and support themselves and their families. Her father had made money easy and her mother had only ever mooched off of him, which became the regular belief for Vienna that it was how all other households in Britain and around the world operated. Not until she was older did she learn that social status was still prevalent in the world and it defined plenty of the groups that existed. People on the high class end could easily look down at the commoners and laugh at their poor streaks of luck or how horribly the presented themselves to the rest of the world. Johnny was by no means pathetic or someone who she would turn her nose upon. He was a honest man who seemed to work hard for his living, making Vi admire him more than she already had. She sat around and fed off of the fortunes of her family while Johnny was paving his future. While she understood that didn't mean she still didn't feel uncomfortable by the way he gaped at the tiny peeks he received of each the rooms. Later she would need to explain that her uncle was still unbelievably modest, he just had very pleasant taste.
The first words to come from Johnny's mouth were a compliment that she had not been anticipating. What she had thrown on had been very last minute, all of her attention focused on the meal and not how she would appear to Johnny. Honestly, her mother would have been disgraced to see her sit down for dinner in such a casual looking attire. Charlotte could not keep her from blushing at the comment, ducking her head like she was a school girl flattered by appraisal from her crush. "You can't go giving me compliments like that," she chided him gently, tugging on her hair absently. She eyed him for a moment, grateful that he looked so crisp and simple in the slightly dressy garb that he had decided to don. Her cheeks were still a faint red but she noticed his were as well. Had she really stunned him that much? That couldn't be the reason why he had gone wide eyed. "You look very dapper yourself, love," Vienna politely commented, a term of endearment slipping out before she could run a mental filter. She decided to run with it, at the very moment coming to the conclusion that the term was now allowed. It was fitting, and Johnny had also fallen into the habit of calling her sweetheart. So he could be her love if she willed it. And she did.
Uncle Nate should have been cursed for swerving away from simplicity and basking in the glory of grandeur. The dining room appeared as if belonged in a castle nestled in the rolling hills of Scotland, not smack dab in the classy end of Sapphire Bay. She nodded a thanks to Johnny when he pulled out her chair and waited until he was seated to speak. Manners had yet to fail her, they were maintained because how brutally Charlotte had beat them into her. She would curtsy too, if placed around someone with that sort of title. Vienna shook her head, casually dismissing his comment. "Uncle Nate believes that impressions are crucial," she explained hurriedly, taking her fork to twirl it in between two of her fingers. She glanced over to Johnny, seeing that he was situated, and then forked some pasta. A few bites were wholly digested before she decided that she should speak again. "I don't think you can judge my cooking until you actually take a few bites." She was teasing him and highly enjoying it. Vienna racked her mind for things to say, one topic standing clear in mind after she gave it enough though. Once she had cleared off her small portion of pasta she set her fork down, reaching out her feet to set them atop of Johnny's, "Thank you. For keeping me company the other night," she sincerely said, eyes searching for his to display her thanks through her brown pools.

. It wasn’t fair. He had spent months, no years, avoiding the idea of a relationship He wasn’t a manwhore by any means, he had just stopped believing in love. Vivienne had broken his heart into thousands of pieces and he had thought it would be the end of everything for him. And then one day, Johnny ran into a girl and fell for her. It wasn’t love, but Johnny knew that love could grow from their encounter. There was attraction, not only physical, but emotional, and it scared it. But he had never been good with his fears before, and he was stuck pretending as though everything was alright. That was how he dealt with things. Vienna trusted him for some reason, and all he wanted to know was why she wasn’t one to trust easily. Her nightmare, the one that had woken her up in the middle of the night some days ago, allowed him to realized that she had something dark and unfair pass before her life, and Johnny wanted t fix it. He wanted to kiss her heart and make her realize that he wasn’t planning on leaving anytime soon. The night before, when he had held her against his arms as the romantic comedy passed through on the screen, it made him want to kiss her. But he had held back the urge, wondering if that would make it seem too fast. He would go the pace she wanted to go, whether that is sex tonight or in months or years from now. Rushing into things would only make her want to leave, he assumed, and there was no reason to make her want to leave his life. That would probably kill him.
Johnny wasn’t stupid; people were rich and he knew that Vienna was no exception. He had known that the minute he had run into her and spilt his food by her stylish and expensive shoes. But he hadn’t realized that she was this rich and it made him feel uncomfortable by the idea that they were living different lives. If this relationship was to continue, how was he supposed to support her lavish lifestyle while he could barely get through the months with his paychecks? Sure, by then he could be the personal trainer for the next Lady Gaga, but he didn’t want to stop and hope. Hope was nice, but it would get him nowhere in life. His eyes glanced at her after looking at the painting (was it a real Van Gogh?) and saw that him looking made her feel uncomfortable. His heart sank a little bit, wondering if she was already regretting this date. When he had come over earlier in the week, it had been dark and his main concern was taking care of her. Now, with the lights on, Johnny felt self-conscious, and he knew that she didn’t mean to make him feel that way. His empty hand drifted down and his finger tangled down and twisted into hers, feeling her heart beat at the tips of his fingers. Slow, that was what his mind was telling him, slow down. But he couldn’t, and as his fingers brushed with hers, he realized he was lost. There was no going back. He was drowning in his passion, his lust, his possible love for her, and it scared him. But he would not show it. He was a romantic at heart and knew that everything would work out, whether good or bad.
No compliments? Fuck that. There was no way he was going to abide by her silly rule like that, whether she meant it or not. Flirting was a natural thing to him, and while he loved their fun banter, compliments would have to be slipped in. ”If I can’t give you compliments, what can I give?” he teased, placing the plate on the table before turning to look at her. His cheeks were still flushed from his word vomit, but were happy that she had blushed as well. ”I tried for you. Personally, these were the only clean pants at the moment and I thought clean pants would be nice” he teased, sending a wink in her direction. His hands felt empty now that they had broken their brief hand holding session, so he took a step towards her and pulled her petite body against his tall one. His arms snaked their way around her waist and he pressed his head to the top of hers, the smell of her shampoo filling his nose. Holding back the urge to press his lips against hers, he pulled back a little and looked down. ”I thought a proper hug would be nice hello once we stepped into the dining room” he said, shrugging as though it hadn’t taken him forever to muster up the courage to hug her. Yeah, ok. Usually he was smooth, but he was drowning and drowning did not look elegant on anyone.
Trying not to be blown away by the table that looked as though it belonged to a royal family, he pulled the chair out like a gentleman his mother and father had raised him to be. As she sat, he received a whiff of her perfume as a reward and felt his stomach roll. Now his mind was going into a naughty place, wondering if she smelt like that all over her skin. And then, because he was thinking of her skin, his mind wandered to the idea of taking her cute little outfit off and seeing her naked. As he sat down, he felt his groin stir and took a sip of the wine that was in front of him. No, no sex. His thoughts of sex would lead him to a place he could not return and make him say stupid things. ”I think I like your Uncle Nate, and I haven’t even met him yet” he teased, stirring the pasta around his fork. A small smile appeared on his lips as he brought the fork to his mouth, the herbs bursting on his tongue. Delicious. Without saying anything, he took a piece of the meat and brought it to his lips, flavor bursting in his mouth again. ”It’s alright. I’ve had better” but he shot her a smile, wondering if she could read though his lies. This was almost as good as his mother’s, and that was saying something. A stab of homesickness broke into his heart but he pushed it aside, focusing on the meal. As her sincere voice broke the silence he looked into her eyes and smiled, feeling himself drown faster than before. ”I would go to the ends of the Earth, cause darling, that’s what your worth” he said, looking at her with a face filled with emotions. He took another bite of the dinner and sipped his wine, trying to remember what he had been nervous at the beginning. Johnny’s mind was drawing a blank and he smiled at Vienna, already feeling himself wanting more.

. Her mind was bringing herself back to the year that she had been floating aimlessly around the United Kingdom. Odessa's death had plunged her over the edge, leading her to empty her bank account and leave the only place that she had ever called home. Rotherham had been the most putrid place after Odessa died, a home that she never wished to claim as her own again. Stranger's beds became the sacred place where her mind was lifting from the stinging pain. Anguish had the eighteen year old girl convinced cases of one night love were the only thing that could cause the pain to ebb away. Casual sex was approved in her life when Marley had come around, then Odessa had taught her a greater meaning of the word sex, and after she had departed Vienna used sex as her drug to numb herself from reality. How did abrupt nostalgia relate back to the man who was quickly and surely capturing her highly damaged heart? Because had this been before she had been shipped off to California for Uncle Nate to begin his recovery attempt she would have slithered her way into his bed after the first encounter of the salad and cheeseburger spill. Her moderately slow progression with Johnny showed more than words could possibly explain. What it meant was that the Giancola boy meant enough to Vienna that she did not want to jeopardize their potential relationship by falling back into the habits of the unreformed Vienna Day. The guy who she had welcomed into her uncle 's home on practically a stranger basis had invaded her heart, settling in comfortably without her granted permission. Johnny Giancola had to be the most welcomed criminal in the history of the world. Or at least in the history of Vienna.
The Day heritage was not one that was lacking in any sense whatsoever. Alexander Day, her father, had gambled it all to find himself soaring to the highest levels possible in every branch of the equine industry. His brother, Nate Day, had excelled as one of the most sought after counselors in England, moving to California where he had predicted that his business had boomed. Her heritage continued back, each Day man or woman finding great success in whatever industry they threw all of their life savings into. Their wealth was known, their family name occasionally falling into conversation around the dinner table. It made Vienna worrisome to see Johnny gawking at the showy success that Uncle Nate showcased in his home. Comfort exploded up her arm as Johnny's fingers skimmed down the length of the slim appendage. He had his fingers tangled with hers, his warmth blossoming onto her own frigid fingers. Never had such a sensation washed over her. Vienna didn't look back at him, only kept her fingers twined with his, grateful that he had sensed her unease and took as his own duty to cure it. She found herself wishing that he wouldn't pull away, because his fingers fit so easily and perfectly against her own. It made her scared, knowing that she wanted to keep him close, closer than she had ever pulled anyone to her. In her chest she felt her heart fluttering like a frightened butterfly being chased after by a child with destructive hands. He was doing all of this her and he had to know. He just had to, even if he couldn't see her face or peg down her emotions quite exactly yet.
Compliments had been all Vienna had known before. They had served as the fodder for her ego, which had carried her through all the thoughtless stunts that had marked and defined her childhood. Johnny was obviously trying to put his appreciation into words and compliments should have passed as flattery for Vienna, but it didn't exactly go that way. Still, she nodded at him after he had spoken, cheeks still flushed from his words. "Occasionally a compliment can be given, but not all the time," she said, correcting her words that she had just spoken moments before. Vienna surveyed Johnny again, taking into consideration he did seem slightly rumpled yet still wholly composed in his disorder. Her own attire seemed rather akin to what he was wearing, they looked like a couple who were ready to go out to dinner at the Red Lobster or Olive Garden maybe. Vienna let the corner of her lips tug up into a weak smile, red surfacing again as Johnny winked towards her. "Cleanliness is appreciated, Johnny." A giggle could not be stopped from passing through her lips, though it was cut off by Johnny stepping towards her unexpectedly. Vi wrapped her tiny arms around his lower middle, burying her face directly into his chest. She inhaled deeply, taking in the scent of his cologne and enjoying his closeness. Without thought she pressed her lips gently to his chest, so light that it could have very easily gone unnoticed. She pulled away when he loosened his grasp, face now colored with a tomato red. "I could welcome some more of those sort of greetings," she mumbled, shuffling back to her seat on the other side of the table.
He was proving himself even more worthy with pulling her chair out and continuing on to be a complete and total gentleman. Vienna gazed toward him with a slight stare of affection, brown hues glazed over with the emotion. The criminal was breaking his way back into her heart with every considerate word he spoke. She stabbed at another piece of chicken, nibbling daintily while trying her hardest not to full on stare at him from her place across the table. "He might try to scare you off with all of his intelligent talk, but I can assure you that he is completely harmless. He just knows big words," Vienna said, wholly honest though she was using a light teasing tone. She was not a braggart but she had to say that the whole plate she had conjured up was the best damn thing that she had ever made. Johnny had to be kidding when he said commented on the meal. Vienna narrowed her eyes at him dramatically, saying, "I bet your dessert isn't even worthy enough to be resting on the same table was the meal that I made." Obviously by the snarky tone she used she was totally kidding, only meaning to keep the conversation flowing. Delicately she held onto the stem of the wine glass, sipping expertly from the glass. She felt her breath draw short in her throat when Johnny spoke next, his words completely sending her into momentary shock. Shock turned into a whole 'carpe diem' moment and Vienna pushed her chair out hurriedly, shuffling her small form over to stand beside Johnny's chair. Vienna leaned over, reaching out her hand to push his face gently in her direction. Pressed against the edge of the chair Vi leaned even closer, pressing her lips against Johnny's in the most tamed passionate way she could. It was her way of saying thanks to his words and also her way to unleash the want that had begun to build up since he had arrived at her door for dinner.

. Oddly enough, Johnny was sure his mother would approve. His mother could honestly care less about the money that the Day’s possessed or the fact that Vienna probably would never have to lift a finger for the rest of her life. No, he was certain that his mother would adore her simply because he adored her. Ana really just wanted what was right for her family, which was probably why she had never put up a fight before about Noah. His eyes drifted shut for a moment as he pondered the devil’s name. That man was the reason for the emotional destruction of his sister and the reason he had a scar hidden behind his ear. No one knew this except for him, Noah and the emergency room attendant, but he had fought the man. Granted, he had been beyond wasted and completely fucked up on every possible alcoholic beverage known to man, but he could still remember the feeling of the man’s hand colliding with the side of his face, the ring creating a scar. Johnny had passed it off as his clumsiness, no one had objected, but knew Noah knew. That bastard had left his sister and slept with Mady, neither of which were forgiveable. Poor baby Johnny was also his fault; perhaps had he been around to keep an eye on his son, he could have helped Allison with the grieving process. But Noah wasn’t around and Johnny had to step in, becoming a father to his own nephew and a best friend to his own youngest sister.
It hadn’t been fair and he would never admit that. He loved his sister and loved his nephew, but he hadn’t had a chance to be a young man. It almost seemed that right after high school he was thrown into helping Allison while paying for college and trying to survive in the world. No, he had come across as a happy go-lucky guy, but it had all been a farce. Well, not all. He had seen little Johnny take his first step, eat his first solid food and seen him make friends with little two year olds in the way babies are forced to interact. But it had been taken away and he hadn’t even been allowed to grieve, instead taking care of the plans and his sister. Ana and Lorenzo had tried to help, but Johnny knew their pain. Not only had their daughter gotten pregnant at sixteen, but the baby had passed as well. It wasn’t anything anyone should go through, and even though no one meant for it to happen, Johnny had felt as though the weight of the world was on his shoulders. But it wasn’t, and for once, he felt as though nothing could bother him. Just the small smile or the light shade of pink that appeared on Vienna’s face made everything seem so perfect in the world.
”Not even genuine ones by me?” he teased, smiling slightly at her before making a mental note. Not a lot of compliments were something he rarely heard from women, but he would do anything for her. Vienna was beautiful and amazing and deserved to have everything she wanted, and if she didn’t want compliments, well, she wouldn’t get them. He would make sure of that. A chuckle escaped his pink lips as he realized that yes, being clean was important. The two looked more likely to go out to the local pub then a dinner between two, and he liked that. He hated dressing up. While there was a suit tucked away neatly in the back of his closet, he was sure that wearing a suit on the first date would not be good. Suits were dark, gloomy and rather formal for a simple Italian dinner with pastries on the side. ”I suppose. Unless you’re a hobo, and then I think you’re excused” he uttered before turning his attention to embracing Vienna. Her scent filled his nose like breathing for the first time, clearing his thoughts of any nonsense that did not deserve to be there. So this is what it felt like, what it truly felt like, to be falling in love. ”I wouldn’t mind some more of those, either”
Another laugh escaped his lips. ”God, I wish I knew big words. I’ll have to read the dictionary before I meet this fellow” he said, leaning back into his chair and holding back a belch. He implied that he wanted to meet Nate, that their relationship would go somewhere else other than just a friendly dinner and a couple of kisses. He wanted to get to know her, get to know her family, get to know her thought process. And Vienna would be the only one to truly let him in. He was about to retort to her comment before when she suddenly appeared in front of his chair. His palms suddenly became sweaty with nerves as he realized what was about to happen. And as their lips mingled together and their kisses deepened with tongues and passion, he realized that there was nowhere else he would rather be. The passion that was threatening to escape almost killed him and he soon found himself holding her on his lap and his hands tangled in her brown locks. Their lips moved together in a way he had only thought was possible in a dream. But he pulled away for a moment and rested his head against her forehead and gave her a bashful smile. ”I have waited so long for that” Johnny mumbled before placing sweet and delicate pecks on her exposed neck as he waited for an answer.

. This moment was the realest she had felt since transferring her live from Rotherham over to the place where sand and sun trumped over all worries. A surf session apparently was the cure to all of life's problem. Only that wasn't the answer for Vienna because she had never been taught how to properly swim. Johnny had entered her life by the means of a collision which had ended with her drenched in the dressing that had belonged on her salad. In another time she would have outright spited the Giancola for being so bloody blind and uncaring towards those to had defects when it came to the height department. That was not the case, instead she had been welcoming to his amiability and genuinely wanted to uncover the reasoning to his openness. Her original goal had been lost, colored over with the desire to find herself folded into his arms and covered in his - what she imagined to be - gentle and caressing kisses. His words, actions, and thought had covered the canvas with vibrant shades that coursed life through her veins. If something caused this potential relationship to crash down into towers of flames Vienna would be able to recall the brilliant orange shade for the rest of eternity. Johnny Giancola was now unforgettable in the mind of Vienna Day.
Every fiber in her being was screaming out with protest, wanting so desperately to clench up and block out the obvious affections of Johnny Giancola. No less than a week ago had they met and fate had been completely altered. She very clearly knew that this was the start process of falling in love. All of the symptoms on the check list could be crossed off with a big, fat red check. Dizziness at the sight of Johnny; check, inappropriate thoughts; check (though she wouldn't admit that one), the unreasonable need to be in his presence; check, those damned butterflies; check. Vienna could have dragged out the list for a whole day, but she wasn't going to put herself through that sort of torture. It had been so long since the last time she had even experienced the fleeting feeling of infatuation, back when lads had been the only thing prevalent in her thoughts. Johnny had stormed in and seized her heart instant, there was no fight or chase to even prolong him for the slightest bit. Whatever reason, Vienna could not explain, she didn't want to fight, only wanted to see that he would be secured as her own. A chase or fight could wear him out quickly or stomp all over his lowly blazing hopes, which was something she did not want. It would be awful if he lost his intrigue or perseverance. She never wanted to fade out in his eyes.
Her was daintily shaken, in an attempt to appear composed while denying Johnny. He had already bent plenty of the boundaries she had set, throwing them aside like they were made of plastic. She wanted to fall back into her former self, the one Odessa had created, so she could show Johnny how appealing she could truly be. But alas, the world was not as compromising and she could only give Johnny what she had to work with. "I am afraid I would get offended if you continued to go against my will," she said, maintaining a light tone that had a lingering seriousness drawn after it. She scooped up some of her pasta, eyes focusing on the Alfredo sauce to divert her stare away from him. While it may have seemed petty to Johnny it was more serious than he could have ever imagined. "I would like to think that I am more dignified and presentable than a hobo will ever be," Vienna quipped back, peeking up at Johnny with a blooming grin on her face. He had turned her mood around instantly, working her back in a lighter mood with only one joking statement. His effects on her were being obviously demonstrated. "We'll have to set up more dates so we can have more greetings then, Johnny," she logically said, her insides bursting with giddiness at the thought of more Johnny embraces.
Uncle Nate would make a huge deal out of meeting Johnny, Vienna already figured that much. She had told him abruptly that the house would need to be emptied and she would need the kitchen so she could return to her old habit of cooking. It came as a great surprise but he was very accommodating. Anything if it meant that Vienna would be interacting more and falling into the pattern of a relatively average life. "Maybe if you just ate the dictionary then you would digest the words and be scarily intelligent," she said, joking completely with a teasing grin pasted on her face. Then she was up on her feet, with her lips melded to his, and their heady clouds of passion mingling to create a very pressing sort of atmosphere that caused her skin to itch with need. Her tongue poked at his mouth first, before tearing his lips open to demand entrance, slightly pushy because of her overwhelming desire. The kiss was gentle but yearning, hot but meaningful. Somehow she ended on his lap, pressing against him as much as she could. Her tiny palms pressed under the collar of his shirt and against his collar bones, slightly panting when he pulled away to kiss at her exposed neck. She let out a whine, which expressed her want for more of his kisses. "I hadn't even anticipated such a thing. But I want it. I want you," Vienna murmured out, her chest heaving.

. Jersey women were so much different than the women who suddenly appeared in Sapphire Bay. Most of the girls he knew and met wore too much make-up, clothes that were too short and animal prints were everywhere. There were a couple of pretty girls way deep down in the normal parts of Jersey, but the girls here were natural. Their hair was normally the color they had been born with, their skin was naturally tan and girls understood what too much make-up was. Money, to him, meant nothing. Sure, there was a time when he would ignore girls who jeans cost more than the rent of his apartment, but Vi was different. She understood that he was new to the money world and that he liked having pretty much nothing. She didn’t flaunt her money and more often than not would just be…normal. Vienna Day was a normal human being that looked as though she had gotten a reality check. Something had happened to her, something that had humbled her to who she was today. It had to be something that would create a huge impact, and he knew it had something to do with her parents. People didn’t change because of friends, they changed because of something their parents did or didn’t do. That was just the way the world worked and he had learned this from his observations of the world around him.
His mind begged him to caress her, to hold her, to show her how damn important she was to him. But he withheld these urges with every fiber of his being. It was hard, to pretend that nothing was affecting him, but just the way her hair smelt made him want to throw her to the ground. She was a seductress, it was her art, and she was oblivious to it. Johnny was certain that the art of seduction had not been forgotten, simply buried under her insecurities. He had a mental list of how he knew he was falling for a woman, and she had everything checked off on the list. Unable to stop thinking about her; check, unable to stop texting; check, attraction; check, jacking off to her at night (not that he would ever admit that dirty deed); check. He was a dirty man with dirty thoughts that consumed his every move. She was his drug, his heroine, his mac to his cheese, the milk to his cookies, the sauce to his pasta and everything else that was puny and cheesy. Vienna had done everything in her power, without realizing, to make she seem more attractive every moment. He hadn’t realized he could feel this way about anyone or anything and he couldn’t imagine himself being anywhere else but with her. He wanted to wake up every morning and hold her close, loving her every second of the day and turn into the biggest mush in the history of mushes.
Some part of him wanted to know Uncle Nate and impress him with the Giancola charm, but he knew that he would wait until Vienna felt comfortable. It was the same idea with his family, who hadn’t been here to see his new apartment. His mother hated traveling and his father loved being at his job. ”I think I’ll have to do that. I need to do something to catch up to your level of intelligence, pretty” he teased lightly, before taking a bite of what was remaining of his dinner. Really, she was a good cook and he needed to be with someone who was a good cook. Cooking was rather important. Their lips were intertwined and his body moved with hers in small strokes of passions. It was simple movements, the way her hands seemed to be in his hair, the way her hips rotated on his and everything else in between. Johnny trailed his lips down her neck and nipped lightly on her tan skin. A soft melody escaped her lips from the refused attention to her lips and he smiled to himself. His hands snuck their way up beneath her shirt, slowly exposing the tan skin to his hands. The skin, soft and silky, made him want to remove the burden fabric, but he stopped. His lips released her neck and he smiled at her. ”Do you know how long I’ve been waiting to hear that?” he teased, his chest heaving with hers. Hell, he could take her on the damn kitchen table if that was what she meant.

. The two seemed to be unaware of the potency the held over the other. Vienna made no notice of the fact that Johnny noted every move she made and inhaled each whiff of her scent that he could. Johnny seemed to fail to notice that each smile made her feel like her heart was melting and the visible tensing of his muscles made her teeth clench as inappropriate thoughts probed at her mind. Vienna Day was far from the unassuming and innocent thing that people in Sapphire Bay had made her out to be. Because of her fresh start in a new country there were no longer and former thoughts that could have possibly influenced the thoughts anyone had when dealing with their personal opinion on her. They had not the slightest idea that once she had been as trashy and promiscuous as the girls who prowled around on the streets. Odessa had turned her onto modesty and revealed to her that love could actually be a sweet thing. Johnny was now witnessing the product of the work of Odessa and he would never knew that he had an unknown force to be thankful to. This Vienna was not false or fabricated but she was surely withholding things that maybe Johnny should have known before deciding he had become smitten over the British enigma. Eventually she would peel back all of her layers and he would see the ugly that she been masking with the demureness that she had been taught by Odessa. Then maybe Johnny would flee in disgust or maybe he would fall more in love with her flawed self. Vienna was not a fortune teller.
Undoubtedly Vienna was falling very quickly for this guy who she only had a basic knowledge about. Very quickly she also found that this was an adventure she was willing to delve into and discover things along the way. Everyday she was uncovering little quirks and useless facts about Johnny which gave him even more of an appeal. He was unbelievably human and that was possibly the best thing about Johnny Giancola. He didn't have millions of dollars backing his name and girls weren't lined up at his door hoping to get the tiniest piece of him or even a simple hello. There was a simple and plain magnificence to Johnny that Vienna hoped she could bask in for the rest of eternity. For whatever reason he was captivated by her and she would not pass up this opportunity because her wallowing kept her from branching out. The thoughts which were fed to her as fuel were along the lines of the realization that Odessa would want her to trudge forward in the search of any closeness she could get to actual happiness. Vienna doubted she would ever achieve true happiness, it was one of the most difficult things to find. But Johnny was something that made her happy and she was more than willing to satisfy with his corniesss as her form of happiness for the moment. Who knew, that moment could eventually spread out to the rest of her lifetime. Maybe that was wishful thinking but she was allowing herself for once to have a train of thought that could be described as unorthodox. Every now and then even Vienna Day needed to live a little.
Vienna could only laugh a little, because she knew that Uncle Nate meeting Johnny would be a memorable marker in their relationship. He was a man who left an impression with everyone that he met, because that was just the sort of person that he was. His words were only one thing that defined him and Johnny would understand when he finally had the chance to meet him. "I only sound intelligent because of Uncle Nate. He has an odd vocabulary and I make it my duty to try and understand the man," she explained to Johnny, pushing away her plate, which was only littered with a few odd pieces of food. Then the dinner was forgotten and the touching of their bodies and the mingling of their lips shifted to be the main priority. She wanted to become infused with Johnny, feel every inch of him and have him as hers. Ultimately it meant that she wanted sex, but in her mind it would stand as something much more meaningful. Vienna tilted her head, giving him more access to her neck, her own fingers sliding underneath the collar of his shirt. "Somewhere around a week, I believe," she teasingly said, letting her restrain falter as her fingers flew down his shirt to unfasten each button. Her lips traveled across his jaw and danced briefly over his mouth before coming across the other side of his jaw. She wanted to this happen right now, it meant nothing that they were in the dining room. She wanted Johnny and any damn place would work. Passion would cancel out the awkwardness of their placement.

. She was perfect. There were no other words to describe the woman in front of him. She was not a girl, for a girl could not hold the elegance she had with such grace and hold the pain that was etched in her eyes with such confidence. Vienna Day was no ordinary twenty year old woman from a small town in England. She was a posh princess, hopefully his posh princess, the one he couldn’t imagine being without. It seemed petty to believe that just a week ago he hadn’t known her, hadn’t felt this way and had believed that the single life may be in his future. As his hands grazed her back as they snuck their way under her shirt, Johnny felt content. He felt happy. And these emotions were the first emotions he had felt since the breakup with Vivienne that had happened years ago. His heart was beating fast; his pulse raising and he could feel his palms shaking as they taunted him. He wanted to undress her, to caress her skin and feel connected in a way he had been without for so long. There hadn’t been a woman he had wanted to share Big Johnny with since the summer after Vivienne, and suddenly, he needed to bring his friend into the equation. But there was no way he was going to push Vienna into a place where she was uncomfortable. That would be something he would never be able to do. His mother had told him that people were most likely to believe the women in any story, and Johnny knew she was right. That was why he had left the boundaries to the girl.
His hands lifted the shirt up and slowly removed the soft fabric. His blue eyes took in the beauty that was in front of him, the curves of her and the softness that possessed her skin. Johnny felt her nimble fingers tease the buttons of his shirt and his shirt was discarded to the side, next to his. Her lips teased his stubble and he felt himself cling to her, bringing her closer so their chests met. The fabric of her bra felt soft, and their lips met. Their tongues battled for dominance and Johnny realized there was no one else that he would ever want to do this with. There was no one else whom he would want to be mixed up with over dinner, such as this. There was the cooling of the food behind them, and Johnny could care less. It was just food and they were just people. ”You got that right,” he said as he took a breath of air before returning to her lips. He lips bit softly on her exposed neck skin and he let out a soft chuckle. ”I don’t know how your making me into an animal, but I gotta say, I like it” their kisses grew sweeter and more frequent and more passionate before he rested his forehead against hers. ”We can go as fast as you want, or as slow as you want. It’s up to you, princess, because I’m sure you can tell that I could take you on this table right here, right now” and it was the truth. If she wanted, Johnny would throw her on the table and take her. But if she wasn’t ready for that, well, he would go at her pace and wait for the right moment, or the right moment declared by him. Their moments could be very off, he had no idea. But as of now, Johnny was content with being with her.

. This was going to happen and Vienna could feel the assurance coursing through her veins. She was perched in his lap with his hands roaming over her skin and her own doing the same in return. No one could try and whisper in her ear that fooling around with someone she had only known for a little over a week could potentially lead to some sort of disaster afterwards. Vienna would hear none of it. It had been the longest time since Vienna had felt like she actually wanted to unleash her sexual tension and this was an occasion that she actually would want to recall when she woke up in the morning. He would not be just another man she wanted to seduce into her bed and then swat him out in the morning like he was a nuisance lying in her bed. From the very first time that she had met Johnny Giancola Vienna had a very basic understanding that he would be someone special. Only a week later and he had come to mean enough to her that she ready to give herself up to him completely. She didn't know where the intensity came from but Vienna wanted to see him placed in her life for an infinite amount of days. Maybe that was silly wishful thinking speaking but she refused to dispel the thoughts and allow logic to set in. They could live in a cloud of daze and haziness if it meant that they could go on undisturbed. Vienna didn't want to think of anyone else. Johnny had taken over her every thought and at that current moment she couldn't imagine her life in Sapphire Bay any other way. Such an unassuming guy had come in and instantly basically rewrote the whole way that Vienna had come to view the world. If only she could find the correct words to voice just how amazing she thought that he was.
He had her shirt off and his own shirt removed at a fairly quick pace. It came to her as a realization that he wanted to plunge herself inside of him just as desperately as she wanted her to take him. Maybe he was thinking that she was getting swept up in the moment but Vi couldn't have been more assured as she let her hands caress down his arms. He felt muscular and sculpted, a strong feeling that had been absent in her life for some two years now. But Johnny was just not any other guy on the street that she would have beckoned in her bed. She let her tongue tangle with his and hands slide gently down his chest, resting on his abdomen, and thought that he was going to the her one. Vi just knew it. She tilted her head willingly, letting out a soft gasp at the few bites that Johnny laid on her neck. Her nails lightly dug into his upper arms, leaving crescent moons that would fade by the time they were through. "Maybe if you get riled up enough then you'll just tear me to pieces," Vienna huskily whispered, words hotly spoken into his ear before she nipped affectionately on his earlobe. Her lips pressed back against his, passion and sweetness fused into one. She knew that words would not be able to fully display the wholeness of her emotions that Johnny created. Carefully she lifted herself off of Johnny, pulling down on her skirt and tugging it off in one try. "You are taking me here and there will be no complaints about it," Vienna hurriedly spoke, attacking his face lovingly with her lips. Her hands tugged insistently on his trousers. Damn, she really wanted Johnny Giancola.
