Finally. He had a break from the hospital. He had picked up the extra shift after his own graveyard shift and he was exhausted. It was a good thing he was used to these long nights because if not he would literally be a walking zombie. Not that it was possible to be a zombie because humans could not sustain themselves with the natural blood flow to their body and even if they were the walking dead, their corpses would be so set with the rigor that it would be nearly impossible for them to walk. Anyway. The point was...he was not a walking zombie and never would be a walking zombie. But he was actually really, really tired. He hadn't been completing his sleep cycles and he had a feeling that the REM part of the cycle was all throw. Once he got off of this shift he was going to go home and take one and sleep until he had to be back here tonight. It would be absolutely perfect.
Looking forward to that now, he walked down the hallways to the break room. He didn't keep his own office simply because he didn't see the need for one. He was entirely organized in everything that he did and his photographic memory allowed him to remember what was in patients' files for years to come. He was confident enough not to need an office to keep his every little piece of paper that held every note he had ever taken in his life. He would need a really big office because he wrote down nearly everything. It was easier for him to learn that way and certainly easier for him to remember facts and dates that way. Even though he had a lot of thoughts within his brain, he could still put them in some type of order that made sense to him. Again, the point was, he didn't need all of that space. He had space in his apartment and that was all that it took. Shaking those thoughts from his busy mind, he grabbed a coffee from the break room. Nearly downing it, he realized belatedly that it was really, really hot. Yelping as it burned his tongue, he downed a cup of water, trying to cool his burning taste buds. "Ow, ow, ow. Way to go Fletch. That was quite intelligent of you." He said easily to himself, as if talking to himself was something he did on a regular basis. It really was, but he'd never admit that to anyone. Finishing his mouth cooling down process, he set his coffee cup aside to bring it with him and then deposited his lab coat into his locker.
Once he was just in his shirt, vest, and tie, he felt more comfortable. He hated that lab coat sometimes. It was so restricting and it always seemed to be in the way. It got caught on more things than he'd care to count and of course he was a klutz so things usually went flying. It just didn't help his situation and he would have been perfectly fine without it. Pushing those thoughts from his mind, he traveled out of the break room, remembered to grab his coffee on the way out. He would definitely let it cool down though because he didn't need a repeat. He just needed to stretch his legs for the hour break that he had. He didn't like being cooped up in the hospital when he was allowed to go wherever he wanted during his break. Nodding to his fellow workers, he soon disappeared out the front door, giving a friendly greeting to the older lady who worked at the front desk. "Hello Eleanor! Beautiful day!" He said cheerfully and was soon on his way to the aquarium. It didn't take him long to get there, and he had finished his coffee by then. The little bugger wasn't so hot anymore, so that was a plus!
Nearly skipping in his happiness as he saw the giant fish bowl up ahead, he entered, the staff member giving him a friendly wave and a free pass. He had helped her daughter when she was really sick free of charge, so it was the least that she could do. He tried to pay, but she refused it. Thanking her, he hurried in like a child would and was soon peering wondrously up at all of the fish. Facts about every single one he saw started filling his mind and he just thought quietly to himself. Today was a good day for him. He was happy that he had chosen to come here now.

She never heard of Sapphire Bay before she booked a room in its hotel, The Ritz. She wanted to be away from the paparazzi that lied in the major cities. She didn’t have any events to go to for now, this was simply a little mini vacation in a place she never heard of before. Plus, when she discovered that indeed, the hotel was waterfront, she knew she must stay there. Aeron loved the ocean, as Warsaw was not near any large bodies of water. It was simply a city and it seemed that wherever she was, she was always in a city. So, this smaller version of a city nestled by the sea was just her spot and she had not run into anyone she knew or cameras in her face. Yes, she knew she recently made a splash being on the cover of multiple big name magazines, but she still desired to be invincible. If they weren’t paying her for the pictures and she wasn’t taking them among friends, she didn’t want to take them. Wasn’t it odd? A model who didn’t like taking pictures? Yes, but it was how she made her keep in life, she knew. She rolled out of bed at eleven a.m., and she smiled at how bright and shining the world was. As a model she was normally up and moving at six a.m. after she barely crawled into the same sheets just three to five hours before she hopped in it. It was a tiring business, but people wouldn’t believe you if you told them. She was infamously loved for her big ears, but she was also hated for them. She had to keep dying and dying her hair, she was born a nice sandy blonde, but the platinum hair was what most agencies wanted. She could spend hours in a chair for hair and makeup – people didn’t know how boring it was to sit there. Then there were the dangerously tall high heels that she had to walk up and down in a runway with, keep a straight face, pose, and then walk back. Then she would get thrown into something else in a short amount of time and did the same thing. Aeron loved her job, but she hated it at the same time and she would change her ways if she could, but she didn’t know what else to do with herself. She rang room service for a plate of scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, something Americans called “home fries,” orange juice, and coffee. It was more than she was ever allowed to eat when she was working, but this was her vacation. She had a good workout routine as it was and she was sure that she could eat like a little pig for this one breakfast. She wasn’t expecting the food to be as delicious as it was, but it was toe-curling amazing for a little thing like her. Home fries, which she saw were diced potatoes with onions and peppers all fried in a pan with seasoning, were so delicious she would have ordered more if she could fit it in her shriveled stomach. Her mother always said that when you were full of food you wanted to nap, but it was already noon and the day was escaping her. So she directly spent a shower in a vanilla and lavender scented bubble bath. After the shower, she spent a few minutes prancing around her suite in her underwear. Sure, she wasn’t much to look at in her opinion, but no one could see but the ocean and she really loved to jam out to music. She dress in cute underwear, not like anyone would see that, but then she wore tight black leggings, a green t-shirt, a black sweater over it, and her beloved nude wool jacket. To add a little zip to an otherwise boring look, she put on what her friends called “outrageous” – a pair of lime green and blue vined thigh-high high heeled boots. She felt herself and as she grabbed her black handbag, she left her hotel room. She didn’t know anywhere in town, but after wandering around aimlessly she ran into a man who looked a little down on his luck selling flowers. She took one, but paid for a dozen. She told him if he was still there after she finished her adventure, she would buy more. Taking her flower, she twirled it around in her hand before she found the aquarium. Excitement pulsed through her tiny little frame as she bought a ticket and happily marched inside. She loved fish, marine life, the turtles, penguins, the big beautiful walruses, and the many types of jellyfish. It was something she rarely had time to visit, no matter how many zoos she was in the area of or no matter how many places she was in. She once went down to the shallow rocks of a beach and found a starfish. Although Aeron desired to keep the marvelous creature she knew it was a sure death if she took it home. As she neared a large tank with many fish, this one swam up to greet her. She wandered around, reading each sign trying to find out what it was. There was no sign that she could find and she was upset. “I wish I knew what you were.” She murmured.
