[cs=2] likes: The Golden Age of Hollywood, walking the red carpet, Stella Madison, cupcakes, printed suits, his good fortune, his wealth, his cats, and his life thus far minus one downfall. dislikes: Sleeping single in a bed meant for two, heavy traffic, delayed flights, being lost in translation, false rumors, being the headliner on tabloids. personality: Established, serious, compassionate, assertive, heartbroken, and lost. family: Anthony Lowe, 62, Father. Alexis Lowe, 60, Mother. history: No one wants to hit rock bottom, where even your mother is concerned that you’re done, you’re washed up. That all the material things you have, the mansions, the cars, and the rolex watches mean nothing. When you get to the point where all you want is the bottle of bourbon to sleep with you, you know that something is wrong. You’re lost, strayed from the path because the love of your life, the one person you could never get enough of, denied you. She didn’t want your pathetic ass anymore, mainly because what you wanted was different. It made you feel worthless, when she left you and suddenly you can’t even keep your act together on good morning America. That’s what happened to me, Milo Lowe. I am an award winning actor – I’ve been doing this before I hit puberty – twenty years in the business and going strong. I am known for my witty comics, my daring choice of clothes, and my many guest appearances on those shows where an everyday person is trying to make it to the big time. I was one them once, living a modest life with my parents in Brooklyn. They both worked nine-to-five jobs all the way in Manhattan – they took the Q train to get to their jobs. Dad worked on Wall Street, Mom worked for a magazine. We weren’t spoiled rich, but we were decently well off. I was discovered when I visited my mother’s work on fateful day. A hotshot casting director liked my look and my attitude. So she gave me a shot and in only a few movies I was raking in the millions. I met the love of my life by chance at the Golden Globes. I just won best supporting actor in a motion picture and she was wearing a dress that matched by bow tie. We hit it off, falling in love as anyone would. I knew she was the one and I wanted her to be with me. We dated for three and a half years. In that time I proposed, she denied me. In that time, I mentioned starting a family with her, she said no. I finally decided to propose one last time, hoping that she would accept me, that she would want to be married. She denied and I left – it was over and I didn’t know what to do myself. Of course, I understood, she was in the prime of her career, but being married wouldn’t have taken away from that. I hit rock bottom. I was done – told to settle in by my mansions and keep myself entertained somehow. I couldn’t do it. After a few movies with terrible acting, I got my game back with a new lead role. Now, I’m watching the nominations flood in. I don’t care if I win, but I’m back, baby. I won’t let my failed love life keep me down. Stella Madison and I weren’t meant to be – acting was my life. verdoux - 18 – nap time |
