Professor. history: Pierce Henge was born to Hayden and Peyson Henge as their second son. The Henge family one of the higher class in Ontario, where all three Henge children were born. With Hayden and Peyson having pretty good jobs, all of them received most of what they ever wanted. However the one thing all three of them wanted, none of them got. Stuck with a nanny, or a family member, the Henge kids never actually saw their parents except for holidays and family get-togethers. The couple was simply too involved in their work. When Rebecca Henge was 4, Pierce 9, and Matthew 10, the family moved to New York City on green cards. Their living conditions never changed though, only the surroundings. Matthew Henge was the most upset about the move. He had friends in Canada and in New York, with only his siblings, he was practically alone. Pierce was indifferent. Although he didn’t like leaving his only home, New York had immediately grown on him. With its towering buildings and constant movement, he felt welcome. For the next few years, the Henge’s had a normal life for them. Nothing changed: at least not until about a month after Pierce’s 23rd birthday. Having just graduated from Columbia with a Bachelors in English, everything was perfect. Pierce had his own apartment and a steady job as an journalist for one of the local New York City papers. He was even engaged to the love of his life, Stella Corsetiere. The two were a sickening couple, but you could tell that they both loved each other. That was until Pierce found her and his brother together at his sister’s 18th birthday party. He was crushed. For nearly two months he wouldn’t talk to Matthew and Stella was long forgotten. However, somehow notes kept getting to him that she was sorry, via his parents. They even called a few times, for the first time in most of his life, just to tell him it was such a waste of a pretty girl. That was when Pierce disconnected himself from them. He got rid of everything about them, but eventually the loneliness got to him, and somehow Matthew knew. Pierce and his brother finally talked, the two forgiving each other, but still, their relationship was slightly strained. Matthew broke all of Pierce’s trust when he announced he was engaged to Stella himself though. Pierce was beyond furious. With Rebecca on his side, Pierce attempted to also block out his brother. Rebecca though, was a bit braver. She often told off Matthew and relayed how it was destroying Pierce. All of the news finally got to the oldest Henge brother. Three weeks before his weeding, Matthew hanged himself in his bathroom. This is what completely broke Pierce. He felt responsible for it in some way and he could never make it better. Packing up, he moved as far from New York, and his memories as possible; all the way to Sapphire Bay. . Em |
