[cs=2] likes: sunrises, sunsets, the little things in life (like twinkis), working out, the winter. dislikes: cities, large crowds, romantic movies, seeing old pictures of his wife, unnecessary violence. personality: understanding, tough, private, mysterious, patient, heart broken. family: Tabitha and Augustus Zulrich - grandparents | Jane Richmond - cousin | Arnie Richmond - cousin-in-law | Bethany Richmond - niece (6 y.o) | Jasey Zulrich - wife | Parker Zulrich - (two and a half y.o secret son of Jasey and Arnie) history: I didn't come to America to start a new life. I was happy with my life in Romania. It was simple. It was easy. I lived on a farm with my wife, Jasey, and my cousin, Jane, and her family. It wasn't large and lavishing but it was cozy. Jane and I both inherited the place when our grandparents died, the man and woman who raised us without any protest when Jane's parents died in that car accident when she was five and my mother died during labor (I never met or even heard of my father). In the early mornings, I'd watch the sunrise with Jasey while drinking come coffee and we'd sit on the open porch right on the floor with a thick blanket around us and she'd tell me what the sunrise made her think of that morning. She'd tell me about her dreams and how much she loved me. She'd tell me she'd miss me the next time I left town for more mandatory military training-part of being a male citizen of Romania. We'd see wild horses run across the large property and during the afternoons, Arnie and I would tend to the fields and, well, to me everything was perfect. Jasey and I planned on eventually having kids once we raised enough money to support them and it was just...I don't even know how to describe it. When Bethany came along, we didn't need any kids. She had her parents and aunt and uncle to spoil her rotten with her bouncing dark curls and large brown eyes and freckles. She always smiled and I could see how she made Jasey smile without even trying. But things don't always work out perfectly. They tend to fall off the edge of the cliff and sort of splatter. Jasey left while I was on another military leave. Jane knew why-she always did-but she said she couldn't tell me-that I'd have to find her and hear it from her. Jasey never seemed to have a problem with our lifestyle. She liked the idea of us living such an easy going life in the same town Jane and I grew up in-the same house we were raised in and our parents were raised in. I would have swam across the ocean for her just to keep her happy and, I guess you could say it wasn't enough. She came to America, according to Jane, and I came after her last year. I would go to Romania every summer to visit little Bethany for her birthday because I'm her uncle rafey and no one could have uncle rafey without her approval. For three years, I searched throughout America for her, having to go back to Romania every summer and every time having no luck. Recently, I got offered a job as a body guard to a wealthy socialite woman...Juniper was her name. It isn't easy to forget after all. I've been here ever since, having given up my search and hunt for my wife after three very long years. I still love her, you know? But it doesn't really matter. Eventually, I'll just have to move the hell on. steph - old - stuff |
