The two had never married, for they felt that a legal document would only weigh them down. High school sweethearts, Lorrie and Nicolo always had a negative feeling for authority and other high people. They drank, and partied, and collapsed on couches at only sixteen. It was also at sixteen, that Lorrie got pregnant with her one and only child. At first she was scared and wanted to turn to her parents, whom she had told that she hated them and that she would never come back. Nicolo persuaded her to stay with him in their little rented shack over a comic book store. Nine months later, Jessena was born. Nicolo saw nothing but an angel. Lorrie herself was in tears, but not because of her child, but because of what she'd been planning. The day she was released from the hospital, Lorrie left Nicolo and Jessena. Brokenhearted and unsure of how to take care of a child at seventeen, Nicolo sought work in the town he grew up, and where Jessena was born, Sapphire Bay. He bounced from job to job, and often had many at a time. But he got food on the table, and a shelter for his little girl, who quickly became his whole world. It pained him to leave her in day care while he worked, but at night he sat and watched her sleep, or play. She was his everything. Jess grew up to be a gorgeous young lady, with dark brown hair and sparkling blue eyes. She was the center of crowds in school, but not because of money, but because she could charm people. This got her into some trouble in high school though. Jessena quickly became known as the one who would sleep around, and it was true. She had only tried to make up for lonely lifestyle her father had lived for seventeen years. Nicolo however, didn't want her daughters fate to end up like his. So he sent her off to boarding school during her senior year. More specifically, an all girl boarding school. It was nothing terribly expensive, however Nicolo did have to pick up a second job again to sustain all the bills. By the time she came back, Jess was not quite as rowdy as she once was, but still had a kick to her. She resented her father for shipping her off, but could not help but love him, seeing as he was the only family she knew of. Nicolo never told his daughter about her mother, only saying that she had had an unfortunate mishap after Jess was born. That was enough for Jessena. After high school, Jess headed off to the local community college. It was here that she first met Caleb McKinley. He was rough on the edges, and soft in the middle. Having been in a few of her psychology classes, she knew he was smart and had a level head. However, he charm never seemed to work on him. That was, until they were both drunk and lying in bed together. The next day, Jess was ecstatic. Caleb was less than. He simply turned a cold shoulder and walked away, never speaking to Jess again. It broke her heart and made her look down upon the male species. They were simply there for her taking now. After college, Jess tried looking for a job in another city, anywhere but Sapphire Bay. But after many fails, she resorted to her last chance. Mixing drinks, dancing on table, and flirting with random guys. This was her now sophisticated lifestyle. personality Jessene, in one word, is a bomshell. At first sight she seems harmless, innocent even. However if provoked she will rip you to shreds with a sentence or a fist. It doesn't matter, man or woman, she'll just get pissed. However, if your good looking or say something pretty, she'll probably try to charm you back to her place, or more simply, your pants. If you really get on her good side though, she's as loyal as can be. Jess can crack a good joke to make anyone feel better, and her sarcastic remarks make Jimmy Falon look bad. Overall, a tough nut to crack, but worth it for the goodies inside.
