Born to a poor prostitute on the outskirts of Moscow, Russia, she'd never come to known her father, considering her mother's line of work, and it never really crossed her mind to think of going out into the world and finding him. According to her mother, she didn't know who he was either but he was definitely Russian. She only did ever sleep with the local men anyway. She remained in Moscow until she was seven and her mother met a man by the name of Adam. He was an American business man who was a banker and it was, as Svetlana eventually began calling them, the first fish to take the bait. Within three months, Adam had Svetlana and Ivanna on a plane to America to start a better life in Acacia, California-wherever that was. Her mother became Ivanna Lancaster and Svetlana was their beautiful, deceivingly perfect little girl. From a young age, Svetlana was taught by Ivanna to never let her heart be captured because they were Russian women, stronger than any other, and didn't need a man to keep them satisfied. They used men. Men didn't use them. Svetlana quickly picked up the language and was enrolled in the schooling system despite being an illegal immigrant. It was there she realized not entirely knowing the language worked beautifully to her advantage. She quickly became friends with a girl named Charlotte and another named Reese, though she fought with both often. Svetlana was always a bit of a firecracker-too hard to handle- but she proved her loyalty to them. She didn't plan on leaving their side...not when they were the only ones who tolerated her and her blunt attitude and bleek view of the world around them-even at that tender age. By the time Svetlana was nine, Ivanna was back to being single after mysteriously managing to catch Adam having an affair. She took the money, the house, and his beloved car in the divorce and soon enough, a couple months later, the second fishy took the bait. This time, his name was Ben O'connel and he was the owner of a large law firm in Los Angeles. Not wanting Svetlana to leave the school system, she was allowed to stay and instead, Ben moved them to a bit of a larger home within the same town. And after yet another mysterious affair after only a year or so, the pattern began. After Ben came Charles the owner of an architect company, Anthony the CEO of an investment firm, Basil who owned ranches in Brazil, Pierre who was a famous French designer, and Lisander who was the CEO of a record company in Los Angeles (she nicknamed him the salamander...how clever of her). It wasn't long before Svetlana figured out her mother's devious plans and became involved with them. She became her partner in crime and often times, Svetlana would be the one to pretend to be having an affair with the man so her mother would walk in-which started with Svetlana got the first house her mother won in her first divorce and her mother began moving in with the other men. It started when Svetlana was sixteen. By thirteen, however, she'd lost her virginity to a guy who was a senior in the high school, his last name being Chevalier... Of course, the loss of virginities never was a topic she indulged in, nor was it something she bothered much talking about. She'd told her bffls, as was customary to tell them everything back then, and she continued on the path of destruction with Ivanna, the two notoriously being nicknamed "The Heart breakers" within the schooling system since Ivanna was known for having various husbands and Svetlana was known for using guys the same way they used girls back then. She found no shame in it and flaunted her and her mother's motto like it was supposed to suddenly make Svetlana a hero: Men don't use me...I use men-like a true Russian. And thus, Svetlana was branded with the title: MAN EATER. But it wasn't as if she only had sex and only partied and only smoked and drank like a chimney. She had also been heavily addicted to ballet-a perfectionist down to the core. She also loved surfing and gymnastics and it was often she was found at the beach, at a bonfire, having some surprisingly refreshing sober fun. She was involved in the debate team since, of course, she loved arguing, and she even got the spot of valedictorian with her graduating class. She was intelligent-too intelligent for her own good but upon graduation, things got bad. Where Ivanna had her citizenship after all her countless marriages, Svetlana did not. She remained an illegal alien and when she turned seventeen, fresh out of high school, she was arrested at her house. Apparently salamander figured out she wasn't legal when Ivanna and her had moved in for the kill. The night her mother was supposed to catch the two of them, bad things happened, as most bad things happened within the marriages. Abused on more than one occasion by most of her mother's previous husbands, her mother thought, generally, it was part of the act in order to seal the deal to get the divorce. Instead, Svetlana learned to cover them up that way and when she finally refused the approaches of her mother's last husband, he had her deported out of anger. Finding out, Ivanna divorced him but was unable to bring Svetlana back. She'd have to come back on her own. Sent back to Russia, she was forced to live with her cousin, Yulia's, parents. They were mean spirited people and after living so long in the life of luxury, she had forgotten what it was like to sleep on a cold floor and not have hot running water. She remained in Moscow for a year before being able to return to Acacia where she reunited with her mother who had once again married fish number eight...who just so happened to be the millionaire father of the boy who took her virginity when she was thirteen...and he wasn't just any boy...he was the only one who she ever felt a connection with...and the worst part?
