family: Craig Jonathan Montclair , 45 , father, hotel industries. Claire Faye Montclair , 42 , mother, choreographer / ex ballerina Philippe Andre Montclair , 28 , brother, lawyer history: Valerie's parents met in France. Her father was sent there by his parents to study in order to take over the family business, before joining the marines corps, since he was coming from a wealthy and respectful American/Spanish family. One night, when he went to watch a ballet performance a young and beautiful ballerina caught his eye and he immediately fell in love with her. He went at the theater every night, waiting for her, just to see her, when he finally worked up the courage to go talk to her. The two of them somehow fell in love with each other and became inseparable. Claire and Jonathan got engaged and she followed him back to USA, when he became a marine, leaving her family behind and her dreams of becoming a big star in the ballet world, because she got pregnant with their first child, Philippe. The couple had to travel around a lot, because of Jonathan''s job but after he quit the corps they settled back in New York where Jonathan was from. Several years later, after they got married and Philippe was born, Valerie's dad took over his father's company, with his wife at his side, always being there supporting him. The couple had their second child, Valerie, two years after they got the company and while Phillipe was 5. Even if their parents wanted to have 3 children and tried repeatedly for it, they were left only with Valerie and Philippe Being the only daughter of her parents, Valerie always got what she wanted, because her parents just loved, and still love, to spoil their "princess" as they called her when she was little. That's why she can be a bit stubborn sometimes. Growing up in a luxurious house, Valerie can be considered a true princess, if you consider her heritage, since her mother is a descendant of the French aristocracy, even if she doesn't act like it some times. Her mother adores her daughter, but even all this happiness couldn't fill the empty spot that her personal dreams and ambitions left when she abandoned them. Over the years she got depressed and that lead her to seek for love and approval in other men's arms, and not in her children's father. Of course her father was doing the same for years, usually sleeping with his secretaries. There was a rough period in their relationship when they almost got a divorce but after months of therapy and visits to a wedding consultant they managed to stay together and of course avoid the scandal their divorce would bring. Claire often talked to her daughter about her wedding problems, and Natalya knew about several of her mother's "relationships", though she never said anything about it. Of course that was too much information for Valerie to know, but she understood that Claire couldn't really trust anyone but her daughter. Valerie started spending less and less time at home after the crisis in her parents marriage. That's when she left, and moved to New York to study drama. She just finished her studies in Julliard and she is back to stay. tini - 21 - 6-7 years? I lost count This movie was a big deal for Natalaya. Well every project she signed up for was important to her, since almost two years ago she wouldn't imagine of doing what she was currently doing. She never thought she'd make it, and obviously if it weren't for Travis' father to give her her big break, she would still be struggling, trying to escape from her family name's shadow. But this... This was special. She got to play a person that actually existed, a story that had actually happened and people who lived back then during the period between 1971 to 1983 still lived in the area. It wasn't just a script she got to read and then play a character. She had to portray a real person. And in order to manage that she had studied the facts, spoke to people, read all the reports on the story. It was kind of what she did with the previous movie she shot, where she was supposed to play a pregnant teen and she had spent two weeks in a shelter for teen mothers. She always tried to become the character she was playing. If there was one thing she was proud about herself was that she was always 100% focused on her job. But this time she was having some difficulty to completely focus. It wasn't that she didn't try! She did! But thoughts always seemed to find their way into her head and break her concentration. And the thoughts were pretty much the same every time, revolving around the same person. And that would be her brother's best friend. Was it wrong? Was it bad? Maybe, although she didn't believe it was. But apparently it mattered. Even those few moments he had showed regret for what happened between them proved that it mattered that she was his best friend's younger sister. And quite possibly that's what she would remain. She would always be "the kid". So her having to come to Alaska for filming was a chance to put her thoughts and emotions in check, and give this whole thing some time. It was a good chance for decision making, and not from her part. Although she was pretty sure she already knew what would happen. What happened every time. Fun while it lasted but the circumstances were just not the right ones. It was pretty much the usual deal with her. Plopping herself on the couch by the fire, wrapped in her cosy blanket, the brunette let out a deep sigh, as she made herself comfortable and put her arm over her eyes. She could feel all the tiredness of her long day getting to her, and if her stomach wasn't protesting so much she would have probably been already in bed. After all the next day would probably be just as long as that one, unless she was lucky and it either snowed or rained. Personally she hoped for the first one, since being born and raised in California, snow wasn't something you would see. Ever. And yes the gloomy and cold weather got to her most of the time because she was used to the sun, but she had to admit that the scenery was amazing. And she had a chance to have a fire which in her books was great. It made her feel as if she was in another age or something similar. When she heard the doorbell ringing she got up and hurried to open. Finally her protesting stomach would stop, she would probably have a glass of wine or Mead also known as honey wine that the locals drank to keep warm and then off to bed. And who she saw standing on her doorstep was definitely not who she expected to see. Unless her mind was playing tricks on her and she was seeing the delivery boy from the take out across the street transformed. How did you... |
