. Her eyebrows met together as she focused on the plan of attack in front of her. The ingredients were displayed on the counter and she knew this had to get done tonight. Liam knew that she wasn’t the best cook in the world, but little things like this were her way of showing that she loved him. Deep down, Evelyn knew that he would probably order something else or cook something new because she couldn’t even boil water correctly, but she would try. Biting her lower lip, she glanced at the pot of water that had yet to boil. A sigh escaped her lips as she ran her fingers through her hair before leaning back onto the counter opposite of her. Hell, she wasn’t even making her own sauce. The jars of sauce were on the counter next to her. How her in-laws had no idea she pre-ordered most of the food they ingested always surprised her. She knew better than to reveal her secrets, but her eyes glanced at the pot again. Nope, nothing.
This was one of the first nights she had been home at a decent time. In reality, Evelyn spent most of her time revising articles and got home only seconds before Liam did. She wasn’t proud of her reasoning, but she would keep that tucked away in the back of her mind. Secretly, she spent her time giggling and poking fun at her coworker, a boy. A boy that meant nothing, she told herself as she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear, nothing. He was just a coworker who was personable. He was special, and honestly, Liam hadn’t been home a lot. Evelyn understood that he was busy working, getting to know everyone and making money, but it wasn’t the same. She hated being alone on the weekends and hated being alone for a long period of time. That was part of the reason why she spent so much time at work; she didn’t want to be around someone that made it clear that work came first. Stirring the sauce, she prayed that nothing was getting stuck to the bottom of the pan. That would be the worst to clean up, the worst to eat, and the worst in general. The water began to boil a little and she gently poured the pasta into the correct pot as she waited. Her brown eyes glanced at the clock and took in the time. It was almost six and the phone hadn’t rung and he hadn’t come home yet. Sure, Evelyn had wondered if he was having an affair on the side, but she often pushed that thought away. She couldn’t deal with her thoughts about that boy and the thoughts that maybe her husband was doing something bad behind her back. It happened all the time, her parents had told her, it happened more than people realized. Liam was her soul mate, though, and Evelyn was going to work with him. Maybe couples counseling would be in their future if the distance kept up.
And they hadn’t talked about expanding their family. Liam knew she wanted a baby or two and the last time they had talked, he mentioned he wasn’t ready. Evelyn was so close to just throwing out her birth control, but she understood him. He was busy with work and his career and she was just starting up again in the journalism field. But Evelyn wanted a baby and she was also partly annoyed with her mother for asking about it. It was moments like this when she wished Edward was around, her best friend and the one who knew her best. There was a guest bedroom she wished he would use more often than the one time he had stayed, but she kept that to herself. She had been keeping a lot to herself lately. She drained the pasta and placed the food onto two dishes and poured a little bit of sauce on top before placing the food on the table. A sprinkle of cheese was put on each and Evelyn poured herself a glass of red wine before checking to make sure everything was perfect. Her ears perked up quickly and she took a sip of the wine, trying to act fine but really getting excited. He was home.

It was like his mother always told him; Evelyn didn’t know what it was like to be busy. She did “busywork,” but she didn’t know what Liam was under. Did she not realize that he was working so hard for her so she could have that damn kid or two she was squawking about? Kids were expensive and even if he was an attorney who made “oodles of money” to everyone around them, he had bills to pay. Did he expect his wife to do it? No! Lord knows he loved her but she wasn’t the best in some areas. Cooking being her main downfall – she couldn’t do it and he wasn’t sure if suggesting cooking lessons from a woman in town would be insulting or if she would find it helpful. He didn’t want to hurt her feelings, but he could tell when she bought the food: he found the containers in the trash; or when it came from boxes: it didn’t have much taste to it; or if it was premade and frozen: kind of soggy every now and then. He couldn’t say the woman didn’t try hard enough for him; he loved her for the attempts made. She wasn’t supportive at first, of a move from where they were settled to Sapphire Bay. It wasn’t that big or popular – it was like jumping into the unknown. Plus, their new house wasn’t the same as their old house. He knew she was leaving behind family and friends to join him to Sapphire Bay, but he left behind his family and friends in Texas for her. He didn’t think it was that bad of a trade-off, but perhaps she was thinking it truly was. He could never understand her, sometimes, with how she kept things in her head. It was when he read her work on paper that he understood her. He didn’t know how she was feeling, but he was assuming everything in their relationship was fine. She never made any attempt of telling him otherwise so he just went with it – if she was unhappy; she just had to speak up. He wanted to make her happy, he loved her and he would do anything for her. Even if originally he wasn’t on board with the idea, but if she really wanted it he was beginning to think it was time. It was what she really wanted… A baby, she wanted a baby. Although they had not spoken on the matter for a while, he knew it was most probably still something she wanted. With their anniversary coming up, a new stable ground where they were living, a house with a yard and a room that just begged to be a nursery: it was time to try for a baby. He didn’t really know how to bring it up to her, but he chose to wait for their anniversary which was soon. He would buy those little white booties and baby books, tons of baby books. He always bought her gifts for their anniversary, it was one of the many ways he expressed how much he loved his wife. She usually expected a new coat or clothes, and while he did have an article of clothing in mind, his main point was to say “baby, it’s time to start our family.” He would make it romantic for her, but he knew she wouldn’t get pregnant that night, but the idea that they were going to start trying would surely tickle her pink. He couldn’t wait to see the reaction on her face for remembering and being ready. He pulled into the driveway and shut his lights off. Sometimes he wished they had a dog he could hear barking from inside the house, like he had when he was a teenager coming home late after a party. It made him feel like he was home, but his home now just consisted of a wife waiting for him. As sneaky as she thought she was being, he could tell by the way she parked she hadn’t been home long. Not that he minded he knew she worked late if she was behind a deadline or something. He did the same after all, it was something inevitable if you were an attorney – case deadlines and paperwork never seemed to be finished on time. He opened the door and set his briefcase on the bench they had by the door. He pulled his jacket off and shook the snow off of it. Now, he hadn’t seen snow in years and he was quite excited to make a snow angel or two with his lovely wife. Coming to the dinner table, he bent down to kiss her sweetly before sitting across from her. “Hey, Evie, how was work? Any good stories today?”

. She knew that Liam thought she did nothing. But she hated working. She didn’t hate writing about what was going on around the town, but she did enjoy having time off to breathe and look at the world around her. There was so much going on around her that Evelyn felt as though if she focused too much on working and making money, she’d miss everything. Liam just didn’t get that, and she had never tried to explain it. It was something he needed to learn and she already understood. Sure, working a lot meant that you would have a lot of money, but Evelyn didn’t see the point of worrying. They had a nice house, a nice family and they were happy together. Yet, they were complete opposites. Liam loved having things to do, and she hated being busy. It was like how she hated cooking and pretended that she always cooked. But as the pasta boiled, Evelyn kept the small secret to herself. Sometimes, after work, she would take a walk and have one of the neighbors down the street help her with her cooking. Maria was her name, and Evelyn enjoyed the sixty-three year old woman’s company and talents. Maria had taught her how to make pasta, and Evelyn was praying it would come out well.
Sometimes, she wondered if he thought she was trying. Evelyn was. She was trying so damn hard to make him happy and to see him smile, but he never said thank you. Or, at least, loud enough for her to hear. And it killed her. The brunette had made it clear that she had not wanted to move to Sapphire Bay, but that hadn’t mattered. In a way, Evelyn had sucked it up and moved, pouting the whole way. But that was alright. Everything was working out in a way she hoped would be alright. Liam had left behind his family in Texas, and she was so happy they were together. Marriage was not a walk in the park and more often than not, she was glad that she had married him. Yet, the thoughts about the other man in her life killed her. A married woman shouldn’t think about another man and being with this other man, yet when she was at work, she would figure out ways to see him. Owen. Such a simple name, and he was a simple man. Liam was hers and that was what Evelyn wanted.
The door opened and she pretended that she hadn’t heard him. Sipping her wine, she felt his presence close and smiled softly. A small kiss was exchanged and she smiled brightly at Liam. “It was good. I had to write an article for the front page! It was about a robbery in a small business, but the front page!” she squealed, tucking her feet beneath her legs. She took another sip of wine and cocked her head to the side. “What about you? Anything good happen at work?” she asked, before taking a bite of the food. As she chewed, she realized that the food she had actually made for once wasn’t too bad. It wasn’t homemade sauce, but that was alright. The pasta was cooked perfectly and she was sure the bread she had warmed up that was on the table would be fine as well. “Do you want a beer or are you going to have some wine?” Evelyn asked, wondering if she should get the beer. That was the only thing she had forgotten.
She took in his clean cut appearance and felt something stir inside of her. They hadn’t actually slept together in weeks, since he was always coming home late and always tired. Evelyn hadn’t protested, not wanting to be a bother, but she missed his touch. Everything seemed so far off, so distant and so second to his job. Yes, the only reason they were able to live nicely was because of the money he made, but she missed him. It seemed like whenever she was home, he wasn’t or his mind wasn’t. Everything was about the office and she bit her cheek. “I talking to Maria, our neighbor, and I was thinking we should get a puppy. A golden retriever or something. I mean, we haven’t talked about it, but I think a puppy would be cute. I’m home a lot in the morning and I could come home at lunch or something. And there’s a training center down the street when we can drop the puppy off in the morning…” her voice slowly dropped before she cleared her throat. “I mean, I know you had a dog when you were growing up, and I did too, so I thought it would be a nice addition to the new house” she gave him a small smile before taking a bite of her food.

When you date a woman throughout college, you don’t often really get to know what she really is like until after you’ve moved in and everyone around you was expecting a ring on her finger and to start preparing for the biggest wedding off their lives. If Liam could rewind, he would have set out more time to get to know what Evelyn was like when she was living in her own space, not when she was hyper aware of his presence and trying to present herself in a way that wouldn’t disappoint him or his family. If Liam could list out the things about his wife that drove him insane it would outnumber the things he love, but the things he loved made the quirks he hated be cast into a dark shadow. It only flared up now and then and he really couldn’t help himself when he started to feel that way. He knew she hated working when she could be “observing the world around her,” but that was what the news was for wasn’t it? If she spent more time trying to learn how to cook instead of filling her time with activities he didn’t find productive Liam would be happy. He was working to make their life as pleasant and easy-going as possible at his expense, but like all other young wives of lawyers, Evelyn came across as needy to him. Liam wanted to achieve things in life so that when he was too old and inept to take care of himself, he could have someone live with him and take care of him instead of a nursing home. Evelyn just didn’t see what he was trying to do, it was more logical than living in the moment. Once she was pregnant they wouldn’t have time for that kind of thing. He was beginning to think she realized she didn’t have to try anymore and he would just carry her along. Which was fine, if that’s what she wanted, then she needed to quit her job and prepare for what she wanted. If she wanted a baby, fine, he would get her pregnant – it wasn’t like they had scares before. If she wanted something else, fine, he would throw it her way too. He would do anything to make her happy, but he slowly felt himself slipping into unhappiness, too. She didn’t cook well, she didn’t like cooking, and he had to spend his lunch hours working out instead of eating because some of the food she pushed his way was just fattening. Nor did she want to cook for him, so offering her classes to help her get better would be a wasted effort. He recently decided on hiring a chef for them, but he was waiting for the opportune moment to bring it up. Once she slapped him with an “I want” he would slap her back with his own want. It was the only thing he currently wanted other than what he always wanted: the truth, nightly dinner’s together, good food, no drama, and trying to avoid fighting if it could be talked out rationally. Liam already felt she was keeping things with him, most times their conversations were flat and boring, he would get discouraged and shower, using all the things he did in a day as his excuse. He sat down and looked at the simple meal she prepared and he kept his face a mask of being attentive. Pasta and sauce with a loaf of bread? That was it? He was starving and this was all she had made. Yet again he would be rummaging the shelves later in the middle of the night when she was sleeping because this wasn’t enough for him anymore. “Congratulations on the front page article. I’m sure I’ll be reading it tomorrow before my nine am case.” He took a bite of her pasta and decided it was an improvement, but it would be a heck of a lot better if she learnt how to cook a chicken breast with it and heated up canned vegetables. He didn’t think cooking was that bad, but he also didn’t think she was trying hardly enough on that one desire. He got up and got himself a bottle of coke to pour into a glass, feeling that both options she mentioned were neither of what he really wanted. Alcohol was fattening, after all. “Oh just won another case and took on two more, nothing spectacular.” He sat back across from he and ate as she wasted no time sliding into what she wanted. He wasn’t surprised, it wasn’t a baby but a puppy was close to one and gave her something to do and good training, time management skills for their eventual baby he planned to give her. “Well, sure. Let’s get a dog, we have a nice enough yard and live in a nice neighborhood. I was also thinking you should get off the pill so we can start trying to have a baby. It feels like we’re drifting and it will bring us together again…. A puppy, a baby… I think it’s time.” He smiled, reaching over to take her hand and glide his thumb across her smooth skin. He did love and cherish her, all married couples had their issues and they were in the process of working it all out with each other.

. Evelyn wished she knew everything about Liam. If she did then maybe she would feel as though she was satisfying him. Sometimes, he looked down on her and she wondered if she had done something wrong by him. Probably not, but Evelyn felt the constant insecurities of herself rumbling inside of her. Liam didn’t know of her insecurities, she had hidden that. Maybe that was her problem; Evelyn wasn’t open with everything. People told her she needed to just admit what she felt all the time, yet Evelyn often thought she was being a burden. There was a list of things she loved about Liam, but also a list of things she could not stand. She could not stand that he didn’t understand that she was a writer and that she enjoyed observing the world around her. And he didn’t understand that she wanted him home more often. Evelyn wanted to take walks with him, holding hands and whispering sweet romantic things in each other’s ears. That was how they used to be, and now that they were married, she felt as though they were now in this old couple stage. There had to be something she could do. Maybe Evelyn needed to pull out the lingerie hidden in her drawers and walk around in it. A small smile teased her lips at the thought. He couldn’t resist her if she did that, right? But she bit her lip and wondered if she took off her dress right now, what he would do. Would he throw her against the wall or simply tell her to put the dress back on? He was complex, and that had been something that intrigued her.
A small smile teased her lips as she heard his comment. Hopefully he was proud of her. Liam was adorable and she loved it when he complimented her. Just the congratulations made everything seem worth it. Taking a small sip of wine, she watched him grab his own soda and wondered if she should have offered that as well. All Evelyn wanted was to make him happy. “Well, congratulations are in order for you winning the case!” she said, wondering why he took on two more when he was already living at the office. But she bit her tongue hard and took a bite of the pasta, wondering if he thought it was good or not. But before she could open her mouth again, he agreed. And threw something else in. Her stomach dropped and she placed the glass back on the table as she looked at him. He wanted a baby and as he grasped her hand gently, Evelyn suddenly realized that he adored her. “Oh Liam…” her voice trailed off and she suddenly felt needed. “Oh God, that’s all I ever wanted” she whispered, tears suddenly pooling at her eyes.
She may ask for a lot, but she knew that this was the one thing she wanted. All she wanted was a family, and Liam was giving that to him. Standing up, she moved to where he was sitting and sat on his lap. Evelyn hoped that he wouldn’t push her aside as nothing, and she pressed her lips against his. Liam was her husband and she wanted a real life with him. A family. But as their lips met again, she found herself wandering to work. There was Owen, sweet Owen, who seemed to know her so well. But she pushed him aside and smiled at Liam. “I really learn how to cook. And I’ll pick up a couple of more articles at the paper. We can design the baby room together, a light yellow or something. Oh Liam, this is going to be perfect!”

Liam was a man who was a born skeptic – he was wary of almost everything there was and as much as he loved Evelyn, he wouldn’t deny that he was wary of her dreams most of the time she raved on about them. Liam was a born and raised family-man, but he had this number of money saved that he wanted to reach before they started having children. Despite his careful and well-orchestrated planning, Evelyn seemed to start their family sooner than he ever wanted to start them. He was just as eager to get to that point of their lives as she was, but she wanted to live by the moment and he wanted to plan it out as they went. They were a perfect balance, when it came down to it. he knew that she wanted their baby sooner than later and she knew that he wanted to wait so, he felt that he was at a point where it would be acceptable to meet in the middle because if it was all his decisions and no input from Evelyn – she would become unhappy and she could leave him for someone who would provide exactly what she desired. His reassuring hand squeeze seemed to mean the world to Evelyn as she came over and sat in his lap. He pushed his plate forward as he wrapped his arms around her. Lately, there was no time to be intimate, but like everything else on his schedule he would make time for his wife because she was the most important and beloved person in his life. When their lips met, it was more passionate than when he greeted her. Pushed aside and long kept longing surged through his lips as he quickly took over their kiss in an unintentional display of dominance, but an intentional display of lust for her. His hand rubbed at her back as they kissed feverishly, his hunger was pushed aside by the swirling and dancing of their tongues. He shifted in his seat to make it more comfortable for him. Evelyn wasn’t heavy, but there were always places that didn’t enjoy the weight or the pressure of someone else’s body. Their breaths became heavy and almost seemed to match a dog panting, but he didn’t want to stop – he felt his needed filling and he kept pushing for each kiss to be more passionate than the last. Pulling, albeit rather slowly and unwillingly away, their foreheads pressed together and they breathed loudly as they caught their breath. “I love you,” he whispered through gasping breaths as he held her close. Dinner wasn’t even over, but he didn’t know if they were ever going to finish. But he was starving and the pains were still in his stomach, but he thought if they made love she would let him order take out with their pasta cold and they could just pig out on it like they used to when they were living in their first apartment. It would be like a blast from the past – when they had hour gaps between classes and both didn’t have homework or knew they could do it later – they were inseparable and made love like bunnies before they both were tired and breathless. Then Liam would order a pizza, Chinese, Thai – whatever they agreed on and they would lay in bed eating it and watching some terrible reality TV. That’s what was beautiful about their relationship and it was still there underneath their jobs. He was overcome with desire as he picked her up and carried her down the hall. “I need to make love to you – It’s been far too long and I think we both need this…. What kind of puppy were you leaning toward?” He asked after he set her down in the bed. “Wait, wait, don’t tell me until after – I don’t want to ruin the heat. Starting now no more pills or condoms, we’re riding this out bareback my lovely wife.”

. They had the same dreams that were to be created at different times. This was partly because she had grown up with her parents wanting kids and wanting to raise a daughter and a son, and Liam’s parents were much more serious than hers. She liked making things up as she went along, figuring everything out and designing things as she went along. That was who she was, and Liam was a planner. H planned everything so everything worked out perfectly. He wanted to have children when he thought it was perfect, but she was twenty five. She didn’t want to be sixty or something along those lines when their children graduated high school. No, she wanted to be a pretty mother who had her kids at the ‘respectable’ time in her life. Evelyn wouldn’t always be fertile. Eventually her eggs would stop being nice and willing to get pregnant and soon she would be a lonely journalist who had never gone on the greatest adventure. Liam was too concerned about work and what he needed to do there then the family she wanted to have. And yes, work and money was important and yes, she took it for granted, but Liam knew what she wanted. With their anniversary coming up soon, she hoped he would mention everything.
Biting her lip, she tried not to completely loose her mind as she sat on his lap. The last couple of weeks had been dedicated to him focusing on work, as well as she, and the little things meant everything. Granted, he admitted that he wanted to start a family, but he touched her. A hand touch seemed petty, but those were the little things she loved about him. He understood that she missed him and that she would never hurt him. A soft moan escaped her lips as their kiss suddenly grew more passionate and she felt her arms wrap around his neck and pull him close. It had been so close since they had even kissed like that, and she suddenly felt herself missing the embrace they shared all the time, the spooning that would happen when in bed, the way his hands felt caressing her skin…her mind wandered other places but she felt her eyes drift shut. His hands made their way to the small of her back and she played tonsil hockey with him, the way they had done in college all those years ago. When they separated for a breath, Evelyn realized her breathing was more like panting as though she was begging for water or something of the sort. No, she was begging for him to quench the drought that had been in her life. And he was doing just that.
Their lips separate and their foreheads met, her cheeks flushed from passion and lust as her chest heaved. Her dressed had bunched around her waist and she felt suddenly self-conscious as she realized how desperate she must have seemed. “I love you too” she whispered in response, her lips traveling down his neck as she bit softly. She brought her lips back to his and she forgot about the dinner she had slaved away at, even though her stomach was clenching softly. Maybe they could order Chinese later, like when they were in college and had done nothing but made love and shared the same twin bed. The two had been rabbits, never separated and always finding new places to make love. Her favorite had been in his car, when the windows had steamed up and a silly song had played in the background. It had been so cliché and amazing. A laugh escaped her lips as she felt him lift her up and carry her down the hallway, his grip on her strong and steady. His words only created more lust as he almost demanded in a dominate way that they needed to make love. She loved it when he was dominate in the bedroom every once in a while. “It has been way too long. You need to make love to me right now” she whispered, as she arched up so their lips would meet in the middle. “A golden retriever” she whispered, but forgot what she was thinking as the next words escaped his lips. “It’s you and me against the world, darling” she whispered as she snuck her hands under his shirt and removed it.
And they had made passionate love, a moan escaping her lips as she suddenly felt whole. It had been so long, and while they finished and lay in bed, she knew she could keep going. Perhaps even make him call out from work tomorrow, so that they could lie in bed and do nothing but make love, like their honeymoon. Her head was on his chest and her own chest was heaving as she sat up, her hair covering a side of her face. Their eyes met and she flushed. “I missed this” she whispered, straddling his waist, her hands settling on his chest. While Evelyn didn’t need round two, she like looking at him. Liam was beautiful and he was hers.

A golden retriever – he would keep that in mind for her. Evelyn wouldn’t know that on their anniversary date the first part of their date would be him blind folding her while leading her up the steps to puppies waiting to see if they would get chosen to be a part of their family. In college, Liam brought Evelyn on dates with a blindfold and leading her to where he was keeping a surprise. It was something he did to keep their love always exploring and strong. He was more relaxed in college and maybe that was where their marital issues were stemming from. That the hard-working, married-to-his-work man once was a hopeless romantic that wooed Evelyn every time they went on a date even if it was to the library. Liam was the boyfriend who texted his location in a code of whatever bookcase he was closest to but never mentioning what exact section it was so she would have to go to each section until she found him. It was fun and it kept them going. Just like trying to make her figure out what he brought from the dining commons by covering his hands over her eyes and making her sniff or keeping it in a paper bag.
Their love making was intense and it was passionate – Liam forgot what it felt like to be so intimate with his wife. He could hardly contain himself and his hands roamed every inch of his wife’s alabaster skin. She was gorgeous, every part of her and there was nothing that was unsavory. She tasted as sweet as she was, and she was nothing short of breath-taking. He was worn out, chest heaving as she laid her now messy hair on his chest. He played with it while he thought to himself of how much time they had lost while he was working up a storm. He only had a few meeting tomorrow and the rest was paperwork. Nothing he couldn’t do on another day, but only if she wasn’t busy. However, Liam was feeling a bit lazy to even muster up the courage to ask her what was on her agenda. His stomach rumbled, but he knew she didn’t notice as she was sitting up and straddling him on his stomach. She was beautiful and the taut skin of her breasts made him stare. Of course, he was allowed to stare as this was his beautiful wife.
“What do you think about the both of us taking the day off of work and acting like we did in college? Tons of love making, eating take-out, I’ll make you breakfast in bed, going to the beach for a walk, dinner and a movie? Hell, I’ll even take you shopping.” He slid up into a sitting position and held her in his arms. He kissed her head and then lifted her chin to kiss her lips. “What do you think about running down to the phone to order us Chinese food and later I’ll get our bath going just the way you like it: bubbles, rose petals in the water, candles, and your favorite smooth music in the background while I give you a massage and clean my beautiful wife. You know I like pampering you. You’re the best thing that ever happened to me, Evie.”

. Her hands fell lightly on his chest and she smiled down at him, her hair falling gently around her face. It was getting a little long for her normal short brown hair, but she loved it. It gave her a sexy curtain of luscious locks that made her confidence soar. Her eyes met his and she felt her cheeks flushed under his gaze. He could do things to her that only he could do. Her husband, her sexy husband, was everything to her. Evelyn didn’t need a golden retriever or even a baby (to an extent) as long as she had Liam. He made her feel like she was the only girl in the world, that there was no one better than her. Their college years had been filled with fast food, classes, skipping classes and love making. And when she was young, that had all she had wanted. The simplicity of those years was perfect and amazing. Of course, getting the rock on her finger was the best part of all. Liam had been so romantic and adorable, and she had refused to let him out of their bed for a day. Of course, she had to finally call her parents and his parents and her sister’s best friend’s cousin to announce the engagement.
He shifted and she settled down on the bed in front of him. His lips moved and she grinned at his words. “Only if that case isn’t too important,” she mentioned, trying not to be too excited about the idea. She didn’t want to force him into taking a day or two from work if work was important. Liam loved to work, something she could never understand, but something she respected about him. Her boss wouldn’t care too much and Owen would probably text her throughout the days without her answering, of course. “I do know that I like the idea of making love to you all day and all night,” she mentioned, her lips pressing against his with a relit passion. Her cheeks flushed once more once he mentioned spoiling her. Suddenly, she felt self-conscious that she wasn’t doing enough for him. “The usual Chinese food? I’ll have them deliver?” Evelyn said, without waiting for an answer. It was sad that they had a usual, but as she walked completely naked out of the room and down the staircase, she could care less. Luckily for her, the curtains had been pulled closed and she walked around without worrying someone would see her fit body. Liam would kill them.
Talking to the woman on the other end, she ordered the food before hanging up and looking around the dining room. Their meal was forgotten, and she picked the plates up and cleaned them enough to stick them in the dishwasher. The last thing she should be worrying about was cleaning up, but she was cleaning. The dishes were in the dishwasher, the glasses and the leftovers were neatly placed in their kitchen. The doorbell rang and she grabbed a couple bills before putting a coat on and acting as though she wasn’t wearing her birthday suit. She took the containers of food and brought them upstairs with forks, chopsticks and some drinks. “I have the food, Liam!” she called as she reached the landing. Smiling brightly, she placed the food on the bedside table before poking her head around the corner and into the kitchen. “Are we eating first or washing each other in a completely dirty and sexual way?”
