Whoever said that beauty’s on the inside is a liar
slamming the door to her black maserati, shasta straightened her peach-colored skirt and tossed her head as she put her sunglasses over her eyes to shield herself from the bright sunlight. a few overweight cops stood around the front door of the precinct leering at her, telling jokes among themselves, with their bellies jiggling as they laughed. she was sure they thought themselves clever. she hoped at any rate because surely, someone had to. as she grew closer, she recognized a few of them, some of which she'd graduated high school with. offering them a winning smile tinged with disdain, she removed her sunglasses as she stepped into the shade. "hey there, shasta. how are things shakin'?" said the closest one, a slightly overweight private who she recognized from high school. having been the queen bee, she didn't remember his name - it hadn't been any more important then than it was now - but she recognized his face. she had always taken notice of males who noticed her, she just didn't bother with their names. "certainly not shaking as much as you are around them, um..." she pointed at his belly that protruded over his belt buckle. ".. midriff. have a nice day." she whisked past him without a second glance even as she heard his colleagues laughing at his failed attempt to embarrass and flirt with her. she had a sharp tongue and wasn't stupid despite what everyone thought of her. just because she had a reputation as the 'it' girl in town didn't mean she was an idiot. on the contrary, she'd been among the top in her class when she graduated. she just didn't make a big show of it. the more people thought she was stupid, the more she could fool them into acting like fools because they thought she didn't know any better. that was their loss. shoving open the door to the police station, catching her short, full skirt before it could blow up and give the men standing outside the view they exactly wanted to see, she peered around the lobby and found the front desk. tucking a strand of her black hair behind her ear, she breathed in a deep breath and stood tall as she marched over to the desk. she offered the unattractive woman behind the desk a smile that didn't reach into her eyes as she leaned over on the counter and allowed her rear end to arch up invitingly. she could tempt them even if they didn't have a chance at getting it, couldn't she? "as i'm sure you already know, my father is the mayor, and he's away on a campaign for the senate. in his absence, he asked me to drop by and pick up some sort of paperwork?" she stated sweetly, offering the woman a big grin as if she was smiling at a retard. "i'm sure you can just grab that for me real quick, and i can be on my way out of this flourescantly lit hellhole?" the policewoman behind the desk snorted at her, raising her eyebrows as she met shasta's gaze. she was a middle-aged woman who probably didn't have any standing in the ranks of a bunch of men, and the irritation of the male chauvenism showed on her face. this young woman who'd just stepped up to her desk, dressed in clothes it would cost her a month's rent to buy and smiling her impetuous, bratty grin was just not on her list of priorities. besides, she was well aware who shasta le stoat was. she was the bitchy little child of the mayor, and although she respected the mayor, she didn't have any loyalty toward his only daughter. leaning forward, she sneered up at shasta who was momentarily taken back by the look. "listen here, darlin. i ain't gotta do shit for you. besides, even if i wanted to, i can't," the policewoman snapped. "that's a higher power: out of my hands."shasta ground her teeth together even as she continued to smile at the woman, the smile turning more into a grimace now as her irritation raised. "well, can you get this higher power out here? i haven't got all day."frowning up at her, the policewoman took a deep breath and let it out in a loud sigh. picking up the phone, deciding it was better to just get this over with so she didn't have to listen to the little brat's whining any longer, she dialed back to the correct office, stated the issue, and then hung up. motioning to one of the plastic chairs along the opposite wall, she didn't bother looking up at the mayor's daughter again as she spoke, "take a seat, princess."shasta dropped the smile and stood up straight, crossing her hands over her chest. "no, thank you. i'd rather catch an std the fun way. i think i'll stand." she smiled sarcastically at the woman who rolled her eyes and shook her head, and then she waited impatiently for this 'superior' to arrive. before long - although to her it felt like hours - the door to the back swung open, and shasta, who had been prepared for another argument, was prepared with barbed words on her tongue. "listen. i don't like this anymore than you people do, and the sooner we get the over with, the sooner i can go back to spending my day how i want to spend it-" her tongue caught up in her throat as she came face to face with the 'higher up', even if for a moment. he was much younger than she'd imagined, and he wasn't some overweight windbag either. he was buff and fit and... tan. pulling herself together, she drew herself up and fixed him with a complacent, emotionless glare. "any day now."WORDS (974) CLOTHES ( HERE) NOTES (HOPE IT'S ALRIGHT AS A JUMPING OFF POINT!) |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=style,background-image: url('http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g79/Juliart/background_black.jpg');,true][cs=2] L E A D S T O N O W H E R E | [atrb=width,240] Yawning, he rolled over and hit his alarm clock, begging the beeping to stop. Another night with four hours of sleep. He was exhausted to say the least, but he was working overtime. Last night had been a big movie premiere at the local theater and he was acting as ‘security guard’ for the night. Being surrounded by eight hundred and fourteen screaming tweens and mothers about Team Jacob and Team Edward was not his ideal night. But he was paid an insane amount of overtime for working on a job that no one in their right mind wanted to complete. It was all thanks for his want to suck up to the police chief, Robert Anthony.
The seventy year old police chief was looking to retire soon, and Caleb thought that perhaps he could become police chief. He knew just looking at the majority of the men that were police officers were high school drop outs who went to the police academy just because they needed something to do after getting their GED. He, on the other hand, had always wanted to become an officer of the law and wanted this more than anything. Grabbing his wallet, he made his way out to his car before beginning his way to Starbucks. Yes, he was the cliché police officer that needed a coffee, but if every single person in the United States only had four hours of sleep, he was sure that it would no longer look like a cliché. A yawn escaped his lips as he told his order to the voice box, which repeated he price. Starbucks was a pricey place, but if he wanted to actually look awake, he needed to be awake. Pulling into his normal parking spots twenty minutes later, he waved to one of the men who had parked next to him. ”Busy night last night Hayes?” he officer asked as he dug through the back of his car. Caleb laughed. ”Eight hundred teens wanting to watch a vampire sparkle in the light is not the kind of busy I wanted,” the man laughed. Quickly entering the building, he punched in before making his way to his office. Yes, he had an office. People liked to call him deputy in training, but really, all Caleb did to deserve the desk was pick up everyone else’s messed up shit. A couple of reports were sitting on his desk, waiting to be read and he sighed. Of course there would have been a fender bender with a woman overdosing on pills last night. While he drank, he knew his limit and knew when to leave either in a cab or driving home. Some of the people he dealt with, or that his buddies dealt with, saw the strangest and most bizarre people on the face of the planet.
Caleb began reading the paperwork before his intercom buzzed with Gabrielle, the woman at the front desk, voice. Already the woman sounded irritated and Caleb felt bad. A single mother of two did not deserve to be working overtime four nights a week, and he mentally made a note to ask Robert if Gabby could have a raise in the near future. ”Could you bring file A233 out for the mayor’s daughter to bring home? He’s away on business and she needs it for something or another.” Caleb rolled his eyes. He hadn’t met the mayor’s daughter yet, but he hadn’t heard the nicest things about her so far. He had heard she was a teasing, self-centered, controlling, manipulative bitch that no one in the city really liked. Honestly, he believed that the majority of the workers were blowing her way out of proportion, but he didn’t know. Having just moved to Sapphire Bay a couple of months ago, he hadn’t had a chance to meet the mayor, nor his daughter. After all, he was just a middle class citizen living in an apartment with his fish. His mother had asked if he would ever get in a serious relationship once, and he just shrugged. So far, Sapphire Bay had nothing too exciting and didn’t hold much promise.
The pager buzzed again and he sighed. Gabrielle’s voice echoed through it. ”She ain’t leaving anytime soon, Hayes. Just grab the damn folder so I don’t have to look at her anymore” ouch. Sighing, he stood up, grabbed the folder and made his way to the entrance. He opened the folder as he walked, studying the material that he hadn’t had a chance to breeze through. Most likely, the mayor would ask his opinion eventually and he assumed having a small background was alright. Why he would send his daughter to pick up a file, he had no idea. Rich people were supposed to have maids and messengers and people like that who were paid to do that. And the way Gabrielle sounded, it wasn’t like people liked the mayor’s daughter and it seemed like the mayor’s daughter didn’t really like the people in the police department. His shoulder nudged the door open and he glanced at the woman behind the desk, who rolled her eyes and pointed to a girl in front of him.
Hot damn. She was smoking. That was the first thought that crossed his mind and he was about to open his mouth to introduce himself but she beat him to it. Her voice, while sounding attractive, was filled with annoyance and it pissed him off immediately. It wasn’t his fault that she was playing the messenger. Bringing his eyes back to the file, he closed it before bringing his eyes to meet hers. ”Listen, princess, as soon as you drop the attitude, I’ll hand the folder. Your daddy may be the mayor, but that don’t mean your shit smells any nicer than mine.” he said, keeping the folder in his hand. He heard Gabrielle gasp and he mentally hit himself. The annoyance of not having enough sleep was getting to him. ”Now, my name is Deputy Officer Caleb Hayes, and you are…” his voice trailed off as he prepared himself to get the worst of her wrath. A girl like that probably didn’t get spoken to like that all that much. | [atrb=width,100] words ,

Whoever said that beauty’s on the inside is a liar
shasta was often rude, and she was aware of the character flaw. since high school, her rudeness had been a notable trait many people remembered about the beautiful young womang, far before they remembered her quick wit or her great hair or anything else. in a way, being rude was her defense against the world. she wasn't like most of the popular girls in the world, and she was actually intelligent beneath the bitchy facade she put on. she knew what people thought of her - such as the policewoman calling her 'princess' which happened to be a common nickname she was pegged with - and she protected herself from caring by pretending that she was meaner than they were. sure, it was a twisted way of guarding herself against the pains of the world, but she didn't care. if she could beat the other guy to the jerk line, then she was the winner.
so even though she was breathless from the strikingly attractive young police deputy - charlotte had been right, damn her - she guarded herself with barbed words. besides, he probably ate just as many donuts as the rest of the lugnuts around here; his metabolism just hadn't slowed down yet. raising a dark, well-manicured eyebrow as he snapped at her and told her he wouldn't give her the folder until she behaved herself, shasta smiled a dark, sneering smile and crossed her arms over her chest. the sunlight from outside gleamed in through the windows, shining over her and into his face where she could see dark bags underneath his eyes as if he'd recently been spending late hours not in bed. or in bed but not sleeping, she thought to herself. with a face and body like his, she doubted he slept alone often. but what was she thinking? shaking herself mentally, she forced herself to focus and stop thinking about the sexy new police officer who was currently sighing as the policewoman behind the desk sucked air at his words and then tried to hide a giggle behind her chubby, poorly-maintained hand. "it may not be important to you that my daddy is the mayor, but if you'd like to keep your job, i'd suggest finding an ounce to care." uncrossing her arms, she stepped slightly toward him and reached for the folder, but he kept it just out of her reach. fuming, she pursed her lips and glared at him as he introduced himself.
"apparently you're new around here," she remarked snippily, throwing one hip out to the side impatiently - which just so happened to make her skirt drift suggestively on the breeze, to her benefit. "deputy hayes, i am shasta le stoat. where is chief anthony? or does he allow his gopher boys to run his errands for him now? good for him..." her last words trailed off as she smiled brilliantly up at him in sarcasm. sure, his dirty blond hair looked amazing in the sunlight streaming through the window, and she found herself wishing she had it in her to speed so she could've had the chance to be pulled over by him, but that wouldn't stop her from standing up to him. she wasn't some easily pushed over bimbo, and she wasn't about to back down. all she needed was the folder in his hand, and she could be out of their hair forever if need-be, and hopefully her father would never send her on some insipid errand like this again. not that she would mind seeing the cute deputy again...
no, she scolded herself. he was as much as dirt under her christian leboutin pumps. "if i have to deal with you, then so be it. give me the folder and i'll make my way peacefully through your gang of overweight donut-swillers out on the front porch here and be on my way. you won't have to see me again." Perhaps the other officers were right about the Le Stoat girl; she was a piece of work and a force to be reckoned with. Luckily for him, he had dealt with this all before. His two stepsisters, while he loved them dearly, were not the kindest girls. With his striking and honest qualities, there had been plenty of arguments between the three. Love always overcame the arguments, not that anyone would admit that they loved each other in the family. Only Clarissa, his stepmother, admitted that she loved everyone, but that was because she was a woman. Men never admitted their love; they showed it with actions. This girl right here probably had never experienced love. He had minored in psychology and knew that the ignorance and rudeness people used was a defense mechanism for guarding themselves. Psychology had come in handy with interrogating people, and he knew just how to press the beauty’s buttons.
This girl probably spent thousands of dollars just trying to get her hair a certain shade of brown. Hell, her outfit was probably worth a month’s salary. She probably had never had the need to pay for anything in her entire life. While his father had a mountain of money in the bank, he had made sure his only son learned the true meaning of the dollar. Caleb’s first ever job was working at a movie theater, where he had to serve hundreds of people a night popcorn and candy. He looked at her as she began to think up a witty comment in returned and wondered if she was unhappy as she looked. Honestly, she looked pained just to be in the police department. It probably had something to do with how high her shoes were and how short her skirt was. There just had to be an uncomfortable breeze going on down there. A small chuckle escaped his lips as he heard her comment. ”Your daddy is the one who hired me. I highly doubt he’s going to let his daughter decided who he’s going to fire or hire.” He moved the file just out of her grasp, not ready to stop the game. There was no way he was losing to little miss control freak here. Her lips pursed and he let out another chuckle, wondering why she was just so annoyed with him right now. ”Smile sweetheart. Oh, wait, I’m sure this is the first time you’ve actually been denied, right?” Probably, her skirt was high enough he was sure that she had never been rejected before.
”Chief Anthony is away with your father at the moment, showing that the police department has full confidence in your father’s candidacy. Obviously I’m not the only gopher here, though. Shouldn’t you hire someone to pick up the file, or is your daddy making you ‘work with the people’ today?” he asked sarcastically, tucking the folder underneath his arm. His eyes quickly glanced down at the movement of her skirt before focusing on her brown eyes, not willing to give up this battle just because her panties were noticeable. No, he had stamina and was sure that she would not ruin it. He could hear snickering behind him and knew that Gabrielle would back him up if little miss princess told her daddy that the deputy was being a meanie head. ”See I would give you the folder, but I don’t like your attitude. It’s a slight turn off, and considering I’d rather give the file to someone who has a great attitude, well, you’re just out of luck.” Caleb knew he was pushing it. He really did. But it was just so much fun to see how far he could go before Shasta had a temper tantrum and he could arrest her for something silly, like public annoyance. Actually, he was sure he could arrest her for public indecency with that skirt she was wearing.
He turned around and began his way back to the doors that led to his office. Right before he got to the doors, he turned around. ”We can try this whole scenario again, if you want, or you could leave. The choice is yours.” | [atrb=width,100] words ,

Whoever said that beauty’s on the inside is a liar
she should have remembered the chief was with her father. he was serving as security detail as well as an opinion of the people that her father needed. usually, she would be traveling with them as well to show the mayor's family and how happy and peaceful they were - some show of it she was giving the police station today - but he hadn't needed her company this time around. maybe that was another reason she was a bit more miffed than usual. she was close to her father - she'd always been his little girl and still was - but he hadn't needed her for once. that irritated her, and that irritation was only making this current situation worse.
shasta was quickly losing her patience with the whole situation. sure, the deputy was gorgeous, but that didn't make up for his insipid desire to waste her time. she was very close to throwing a temper tantrum, but she reminded herself that she wasn't at home. while that behavior may work on her father, she doubted it would work on this police officer despite how short her skirt was. "See I would give you the folder, but I don’t like your attitude. It’s a slight turn off, and considering I’d rather give the file to someone who has a great attitude, well, you’re just out of luck." grinding her teeth together, shasta glared at him with a look that would have burned the skin right off his bones if such a thing were possible. planting her hands on her hips, she tried to get her anger under control, but somehow, he knew exactly how to push her buttons. she felt like a spoiled little brat under the scrutiny of his gaze and the tone of his voice, and that only served to piss her off even more.
as he began moving away from her, back toward the doors leading to wherever his office was hidden in some flourescantly-lit hole, shasta stiffened her arms straight down at her sides and marched after him. he was talking about starting over and trying to get her behavior right so she could have the folder, and she was tired of playing his little game. she reached him by the time he got to the door and began pushing it open to go through, and she shoved him hard, hoping he would stumble through the door. in the confusion, she grabbed for the folder, getting a hold of it a couple times but failing to pull it from his grasp. losing her control - and probably part of her mind - she swung her clutch purse at him, hoping she'd get a good hit on him and be able to steal the folder away. she was sure the papers would have a big kick with this if they ever got wind of it, but right now, she didn't care. she wasn't thinking clearly and she was angry, and she just wanted to get back to doing something fun instead of mauling an attractive young deputy who was pissing her off.
"just give... me... the damn... folder!" she breathed as she tried grabbing for it. soon enough, she lost her footing and fell back against the wall of the hallway, the door to the main office having swung shut without her noticing, and she gasped for air after the exertion. her ankle hurt where she'd twisted it, causing her to fall back in the first place, and now she was tired and sweaty. not the best way to spend an afternoon. she glared at caleb but didn't have the strength to keep fighting him. "so help me... i hope they fire you." sinking down to her knees, she gathered up the few items which had flown out of her purse during their tussle. what more could go wrong? God, this girl was the biggest pain in the ass he had ever met. As he began to pick of speed, he heard the heels get closer and for a moment, he knew that she would catch him. A pair of hands shoved him forward and he banged his forehead against the door. Blinking at the sudden pain that covered his eyes, he brought the hand that had the folder to his forehead and rubbed the bump that was starting to form. But, of course, she was a woman and couldn’t just retread. Her clutched banged him in the eye and he felt a sharp pain right by his temple. Swearing loudly, he brought his free hand to his head and felt something cool against his hand. Bringing the hand into focus, he saw a little blood had gathered on them. No fucking way.
Now, he was royally pissed. His face turned red and he turned to the girl sitting on the ground. No, this wasn’t a girl, this was a demon. There was no way that a girl could be this cruel and rude and actually cut his face. She looked sweaty and her ankle looked a little red, but he could care less. If she wanted to play it dirty, then he could too. Grabbing her arm, he heaved her off the ground and continue down the hallway. ”Ms. Shaste Le Stoat, you are under arrest for assaulting a police officer. Being the officer attacked by your sparkly accessory, you are hereby required to spend three hours sitting in a jail cell with me watching over you. If you try to withstand the arrest, I can arrest you for multiple charges and get the law involved.” He could to an extent, but there was no way he was allowing her to run away with no issue. She was an issue and he wanted to shove his foot so far up her ass she would be eating it for breakfast on Tuesday morning.
Roughly, he pushed her into one of the cells before pulling the bars close and locking the door. He stood, finally feeling his anger beginning to subside and smirked at her. ”I’ll be watching you from here, princess” he said, pulling a chair over to his area. Before sitting, he filled a cup of coffee from the coffee maker conveniently placed by the cell and wad of napkins for his forehead. Caleb sat down, placed the coffee cup on the desk next to him and placed the wad of napkins on his forehead. This was not how he had planned to spend his day. He could almost hear the laughter from the other officers about this situation, and he hated it. Not only was he most likely going to get fired for arresting the mayor’s daughter, but his reputation was going to be ruined. His anger, once again, had gotten the best of him.
He felt the napkin get slightly damp and he replaced it with another before looking at Shasta. Her ankle was not looking too good from over here. ”I’d elevate that ankle of yours if I were you. We may not have satin pillows and chairs, but that table and bed could do the trick” no, he wasn’t feeling sympathetic enough to actually remove her from the cell. The gash on his forehead spoke enough. The pain was thudding in his head and he felt a migraine approaching. Quickly taking a sip, he glanced at the brunette. ”Aw, come on princess, stop looking so glum. You’re the reason you’re in there ya know” his hand tapped the file next to him, the one she wanted so badly. ”All you had to say was please.” | [atrb=width,100] words ,

Whoever said that beauty’s on the inside is a liar
her ankle was hurting her, and she didn't dare look at it for both the fear of drawing attention to it and to confirm her suspicion that it was already beginning to swell. she stuffed her belongings into her purse and suddenly, she was being roughly lifted from the ground by her arm. "what the-" she began before the deputy drug her off down the hallway, away from the exit and into the holding cells at the back of the building. he said something about her being under temporary lock down for assaulting him as he tossed her into her home for three hours, and she stumbled in, turning quickly and glaring angrily at him with her hands planted on her hips. "you can't do this. do you know how much trouble you're going to be in when my daddy and the sheriff find out about this?" she was livid, but her ankle was beginning to hurt her badly enough that she had to accept the nearest seat in the cell despite her desire to slap him on his face, preferably right where the bleeding cut over his eye was.
as she lowered herself to the cot quicker than she'd intended due to the pain in her ankle, she got a good look at it for the first time. her fears were confirmed, and the skin was already turning a purplish color beneath her tan. grinding her jaw, she refused to show the pain to him on her face, watching him nonchalantly out of the corner of her eye as he dabbed at his cut. she ignored him as he said he'd watch her from his chair in the aisle between her cell and one directly across from it. she hoped that cut hurt because her ankle sure as hell did. then, he surprised her, after a moment of silence, by advising her to elevate her ankle. he was right, whether she wanted to admit it or not, so she slowly pulled the nearby writing desk over, positioning herself carefully so he couldn't be honored with a view up her skirt, and she lifted her foot onto the table. she couldn't help wincing as the ball of her foot rested on the hard table. it hurt like hell, but she wasn't about to let him know that. she was too furious, for once in her life, to say anything. so she sat silently, fuming, with her arms planted on the cot at her sides so she could balance herself. although the ankle hurt, it appeared to have stopped swelling, so she sat and stared straight forward at her elevated foot and plotted how to destroy this beautiful young deputy.
shasta was from a long line of devious blood, and she wasn't stupid. she knew she could get him in very serious trouble - even if this whole thing had been her fault, that didn't matter right now - and she plotted the best way to do so. she didn't realize how long she'd been sitting stewing over the current situation until he commented about her looking glum. "you're the reason you're in there, ya know. all you had to say was please." he was right, and that only made her angrier. so, she struck out in her usual way: with sarcasm.
"if you wanted to spend more time with me, all you had to do was ask," she remarked, raising an eyebrow and smiling darkly. turning her head back to stare at her foot, she glared at her toes and tried to ignore the tempting smell of the coffee. everything about this deputy hayes perturbed her all the way down to his adorable-smelling coffee. damn him. glancing out of the corner of her eye, she saw him switch out another napkin for a clean one, and she sighed loudly. pulling her foot off of the table, she scooted along the cot until she was on the end against the bars. reaching out through the bars, she grabbed the clean napkin and reached to place it on his cut. when he seemed dubious, she glowered at him and beckoned for him to get closer so she could apply the 'bandage'. "you're not putting enough pressure on it. press a little harder, and it will stop bleeding. like this," she pressed the napkin to his head, not intending to hurt him although she'd thought about it. "stop being such a baby," she commanded him as she held the napkin to his forehead. he was closer to her now than he'd been previously, and although she kept her gaze carefully trained on the napkin where she held it against him, she couldn't help seeing his remarkably attractive face. he had to be one of the most beautiful men she'd ever seen, even if he was hardheaded and irascible. if she had to be stuck in here for three hours, she had to admit it didn't hurt to have something interesting to look at.
as the bleeding slowed and eventually stopped, she released him and dropped the napkin in the pile of dirtied ones. leaning back against the cement block wall behind her, she closed her eyes against the pain in her ankle and sighed silently to herself. "what does a girl have to do to get a big mac around here?" she asked, glancing over at him again with a small smile. she figured she could afford a little niceness with him now when they were alone. no one would see her being nice, so she was safe. when they were back in public, she could be mean to him again if she wanted, but for now it was just the two of them. she allowed her guard to fall ever so slightly. "your stupid coffee has made me hungry." WORDS (967) CLOTHES ( HERE) NOTES (AND DONE.) |

But no, she had to make things more difficult and attack him with her weapon purse. He honestly did not believe that her father would care what he was doing, or even find out. In order for him to find out, Shasta would have to willingly tell her father that he attacked the deputy, and he was certain no father would smile down on his daughter for that, especially the mayor. ”You need daddy to solve your problems, sweetheart? I thought you were out of diapers” he mumbled, carrying her to the holding cell, where she would remain for three hours. As he carried her down to the cells, he felt his face become sticky with the blood that was trickling down his face. There better not be a scar there, because if there was a scar, he would kill her. The last thing he wanted was for people to talk about him being beaten up by a girl. You throw ball like a girl suddenly popped into his head and he let a smirk appear on his lips for a moment.
Keeping the padding to his forehead, he groaned when he pressed the softness to his bleeding wound. Obviously too much pressure would harm instead of help. That was exactly what he was going to try and avoid. The more he flinched, the more he was sure that Shasta Le Stoat took pride in wounding him. Caleb had gotten shot at, beaten up and other things he probably wasn’t allowed to mention, but this dent in his handsome head hurt like hell. God, if he could kick her ass, he would have. But considering it was against the law, he contained his frustration and anger and pressed the towel against his forehead. Quickly taking the towel away from his forehead, he glanced at the blood that had gathered before sighing and looking at the brunette, who also happened to be looking at her ankle. Had he known he was going to get injured today at work, perhaps he wouldn’t have come in? But as he thought about it, he was sure he still would have come in. Shasta was feisty and he was sure she was wild and crazy and probably nice, way down deep. But thoughts like that, he shouldn’t be thinking.
”If I had wanted to get beaten up, I would have called you in,” he grumbled, replacing the towel with a handful of napkins. The towel made its way into the garbage and he leaned back in the chair, closing his eyes. But his eyes suddenly opened in annoyance as he heard the sound of a chair moving closer to him. Sitting up and ignoring the sudden dizziness, Caleb looked at Shasta, who mentioned that he wasn’t putting enough pressure on it. No shit. But he ignored his first reaction and scooted closer, leaning his head close to the bars. Her delicate touch was suddenly on his face and he found himself almost leaning into it. Flinching at the sudden added pressure, he rolled his eyes. ”I wouldn’t be flinching if you weren’t pressing so damn hard, princess” Caleb said, rolling his eyes. The smell of her perfume was intoxicating and he found himself wishing he could twirl her hair between his fingers and placing a kiss on her neck. ”Thank you” he grumbled before giving her a sheepish smile.
A laugh escaped his lips at the next comment that came out of her pinkish lips. ”If I could get a Big Mac, I’d be eating it.” gently removing her hand from his forehead, he allowed the napkins to stick to his head as he rolled the seat back to its original position and pulled out two donuts and brought over his coffee and a coffee for her. ”I know this is a complete cliché and a stereotypical thing to have back here, and you’ll probably say that I don’t need the extra carbs, but we have donuts and coffee” a smile tugged at the edges of his lips before looking at her foot. Rolling the chair to the freezer, he collected a handful of ice and rolled it up into a towel before returning to Shasta. Caleb gently placed the bag in front of her. ”For your foot, princess” he mentioned before taking a bite into the glazed donut he had brought over for himself. | [atrb=width,100] words ,

Whoever said that beauty’s on the inside is a liar
shasta almost laughed as he flinched and cursed at her for pressing the napkins against his forehead. instead, she raised an eyebrow and smiled ever so slightly, allowing him to gently remove her hand when he had enough. clearing her throat, she hastily sat back against the wall to prevent herself from staring into his eyes too long. how could eyes be so entrancing? somehow, despite how angry he had made her and how irritating he was for getting under her skin, he was intoxicating to her. she convinced herself it was the pain in her ankle going to her head. it had to be. as he thanked her and smiled sheepishly, she allowed her guard to fall a bit more, and she smiled slightly back at him. he was pretty adorable even if she would never tell him as much. he probably already knew it. caleb seemed like one of those guys she'd known so well in high school: the type who knows he's drop dead gorgeous and so he acts like an ass. but at the same time, he seemed to have a down-to-earth quality about him she couldn't quite reconcile. one moment he came across as a complete and total doorknob, and the other he showed this vibrant sexy young man. this was why she'd never tried to understand men. she knew they liked a short skirt and nice boobs, but other than that, she hadn't delved into the male psyche for fear of never returning.
"a donut is fine then," she replied softly, the pain in her ankle reaching her throat and making it hard for her to speak very loudly. it was as if speaking made it hurt worse even though she knew that wasn't true. she closed her eyes for a second as he turned his back on her and grabbed the items. opening them quickly as he returned, she forced herself to sit up and move to the bars to accept the donut. to her surprise, he held out a hastily made ice pack and motioned for her to use it for her foot. the surprise was clear in her face, that he would be so kind as to even notice let alone take the time to make the ice pack for her instead of just letting her ankle rot and fall off. she definitely deserved it for the way she'd acted which had gotten her thrown in here in the first place, but she wouldn't admit it. out of her many characteristics, shasta's pride had to be the strongest. she had a hard time admitting when she was wrong.
"thank you," she conceded, retrieving both the donut and the ice. finding the effort of lifting her foot back onto the table too difficult, she decided to simply leave it where it was and she put the ice on it. it was paining her more than she let on, but at least she had at least another two and a half hours to rest it before she had to walk again. how the hell she was going to get out of here then, she didn't have a clue. she took a bite out of her donut and raised an eyebrow as she looked over at him. "it doesn't appear the extra carbs affect you," she admitted, looking away and concentrating on her ice pack as if it were the most important thing in the world all of a sudden. "but maybe that's why they don't let you have big macs back here. they'd make your butt fat." she giggled in spite of herself. it must be the pain making her loopy. normally she wouldn't be this... fun? admittedly, she came across as a rude, bitchy, stick-in-the-mud when she first met someone, especially a guy. she'd been hurt before although few knew about it.
throughout high school, she'd been your typical head cheerleader popular girl, except she'd never been an airhead. she was intelligent, in the top of her class, and she made it known. in typical head cheerleader fashion, she'd dated almost every member of the football team, and most notably, the quarterback. her senior year, the year when most couples were falling into a routine and preparing for college and whatnot, shasta wasn't getting too serious about her boyfriend. sure, they may get married when they graduated, but they may not. she wanted to go to stanford when she graduated, and she didn't want anything to get in the way of that. however, her boyfriend at the time hadn't seen eye-to-eye with her about their commitment to one another. on prom night, when most couples seal the deal with a hasty backseat roll-in-the-hay, shasta hadn't wanted to have sex. it was such a typical thing to do, and she didn't consider herself typical, plus she didn't know if she really loved him enough to do it. yes, she had been a virgin. when she'd refused to sleep with him, the quarterback had gotten angry and tried to rape her. thankfully for her, he wasn't the brightest bulb in the box, and they'd been parked close enough to a public area and she'd screamed loudly enough to summon a patrolling police officer. her father being mayor since she was a youngster, all of the police officers saw her as their little sister, and the young man had instantly rushed to her aid, pulling the quarterback off of her and saving her virginity and her pride. however, the event had scarred her almost as badly as if the bastard had been successful. she'd trashed her application to stanford and decided to attend the local university so she could be close to her parents. that was when she'd really become daddy's little girl more than ever before although no one knew the real reason. her parents knew about the incident, but they never pressed her to talk about it if she didn't want to, so they allowed her to give up her hopes to go to a big college and stay at home longer than she probably would have otherwise. so, while she came across as a priviledged bitch to outsiders, she had good reason to be the way she was. she just couldn't, and wouldn't, explain herself.
examining the ice on her ankle and seeing that the swelling had decreased slightly, she glanced up and over at caleb where he sat masticating on his donut. "thank you again," she commented quietly. "you're not as much of an ass as you first seem to be." she smiled and winked at him as she shifted the ice pack on her foot. "i'm sorry i was such a bitch earlier." she didn't explain herself any further, but she was sorry she'd acted so foolish. "so, how long have you been in town? i haven't seen you before today, and i've known most of the cops around this town since i was in elementary school." looking into his handsome face, she almost felt herself blush. thankfully, she didn't blush easily. "i would've remembered you if i'd seen you before." WORDS (1181) CLOTHES ( HERE) NOTES (I GOT INSPIRED. FEEL NO NEED TO REPLY AS QUICKLY AS I DID. LMAO) |

Obviously he was trying to portray a manly man in front of the lady, but he couldn’t do it. It was something about Shasta that made it hard for him to comprehend what he was doing and his actions. Caleb glared at the wall in front of him, where her back was facing, and gave and inward sigh. It was so annoying, to feel this attracted to someone that he could barely stand. Perhaps it was just lust and a quick kiss or a quick fuck would get these thoughts out of his mind. But Caleb wasn’t like that; sure, he liked sex as much as the next guy, but it was more than just skin against skin. Sex, to him, was all about the attraction between two people that genuinely wanted to be together, and perhaps that was his fault. He hadn’t gotten laid in weeks, just because he wanted to find the ‘right’ person. His buddies at the police station made fun of him, claiming that because he was so young, it didn’t matter who the girl was or if there were emotions tying into the lust; it was just a fuck. No, Caleb had emotions. He knew what it felt like to be tossed aside as though nothing mattered, and that was the last thing he wanted to make a girl feel like.
He smiled at her as he placed the donut between the jail bars. It was glazed, hopefully a type she enjoyed considering there wasn’t much to eat. In his mind, he knew he could go to the kitchen area in the building and heat up some of the pasta that was there, but he assumed she didn’t eat many carbs. She was too skinny to eat such high calorie food. Quickly, Caleb placed the ice on her dainty ankle and gave her a small smile, hoping it numbed the pain. She was surprised, he observed, which surprised him. Did Shasta truly think he was a big bad wolf with no feelings? Perhaps, considering he was the reason she was in the cell instead of getting her nails done or buying clothes worth more than his salary in a year. ”I could go get more food if you want,” he offered, suddenly feeling shy. What the hell was wrong with him? Obviously something or else he wouldn’t be babbling like an idiot or acting like a love sick teen. She was pretty, that was it. There was nothing more, nothing less.
”Your welcome” he responded, glancing at her ankle. It still looked a little swollen, but he knew nothing was permanently wrong with it. It was just a little bruised, and in an hour or so, he was sure it would look better. Or, well, he hoped. There was a difference between hope and reality. Chuckling, Caleb smiled at her. ”Unlike the majority of the men working here, I actually enjoy working out six out of seven days. But thank you.” a compliment? Something was wrong with the world, but he wasn’t going to question the why’s of the situation. ”Are you being funny, princess?” he joked, nudging her good foot through the bars. ”I didn’t think you had a funny bone in you” Truth, but he liked this side of her. It was amusing and it was also something he felt oddly attracted to.
Never before had he thought he would be brought to speechless, but here he was, almost gaping t her. Shasta Le Stoat was admitting that he wasn’t an ass. Granted, Caleb knew this, but he didn’t expect her to realize that. ”You’re not as big of a bitch as you made it seem,” he responded with a shrug, giving her another smile. The smile, it seemed, never wanted to go away. ”We all have our bad days. I could have just given you the file,” but he was glad he didn’t. Honestly, Caleb hadn’t had this much fun at the police station since the glued door incident, which would not be mentioned ever again in front of the Chief.
Shrugging, Caleb realized he had been in town almost four months. ”A couple of months. It’s been hard getting to know everyone when you’re the new guy with all the power” he mentioned, realizing that it was the truth. People didn’t really want to get to know him, considering he had beaten out dozens of older opponents to become the Deputy Chief. ”I would never have forgotten you if we had met before” he responded, leaning back in his chair and shooting her a wink. That was the truth; many pretty girls were either with assholes, being a bitch, or just didn’t give him the time of day and it was fucking frustrating.

Whoever said that beauty’s on the inside is a liar
she sensed him warming up to her as he handed her the glazed donut and placed the ice pack gently on her foot. part of her wanted to piss him off again to keep the distance between them - that was her defense mechanism against being hurt as she had been before - but the stronger part of her allowed him to lower those defenses with his handsome smile and jovial, albeit sarcastic, demeanor. besides, being behind bars, it wasn't like he could do anything to her. she was safe. she actually felt safe with him. that was saying a lot considering her past, but she wouldn't admit that to him. instead, she silently ate her donut which satisfied her hunger for a moment, and listened to his response to her comments. swallowing and licking her lips, she raised her eyebrows and turned slightly to face him. "you work out that often? i don't believe it. i do believe, however, that the other slobs who work here never work out. their beer guts pretty much say it all." she sat back with a smile. she was just picking on him; it was fun. "you seem like the type who just looks muscular naturally, however unfair that is to the rest of the world." shrugging, with a chuckle, when he admitted he didn't think she had a funny boy, she cut him a sideways glance and smiled, "i have my moments." plus, she had the tendency to talk fast and a lot when she was nervous.
she started to take another bite out of her donut when he said the words that made her stop cold. You’re not as big of a bitch as you made it seem. the way he phrased it - you 'made' it seem - made her pause. he was right: she put it on like a show to keep people at bay. it had worked successfully until she'd run into this hardheaded deputy who wouldn't give her what she wanted and wouldn't back down the moment she threw her 'bitchiness' in his face. maybe she'd given too much of herself away by letting her defenses drop as much as she had. he'd caught on to her, but she wouldn't let him know it. she hated showing weakness, especially since that night. since then, she'd been hard on the outside to protect the soft mushy center, which was her heart, on the inside. she shrugged and offered him a smile when he admitted he could have just given her the file.
nodding in understanding that having the power would make him a target more than an ally in most cases, she watched him as she took the last bit of donut into her mouth. as he winked at her, she felt an unwelcome flutter in her stomach. why did he affect her like this when no other guy had done so in so long? she'd been safe against them pretty much since high school. she'd dated, but she'd never fallen for another guy, and for that, she was thankful. when she looked into caleb's handsome face though... no. she willed herself not to fall under his spell. not that he was purposefully trying to lure her in or anything, she wasn't jumping to that conclusion, but she was overly defensive. she'd been in that habit since she was seventeen. she'd never fully gotten over what happened to her. I would never have forgotten you if we had met before. looking up at him, she swallowed her donut heavily. touching her lips with her sticky fingertips, she slipped one finger into her mouth and slowly licked the glaze off. offering him a flirty smile, she responded, "and why is that, mister deputy? you must have a thing for cold-hearted women, hmm?" she giggled slightly and glanced up at his forehead where the blood had started to dry. she couldn't help the concern that welled up inside her. she really wasn't a heartless bitch, she'd just been in the habit of it for so long that the sarcasm and the biting comments came naturally. "policemen aren't usually my type," she commented, leaning back against the cell wall with a smile. how the conversation had gotten onto the topic of 'types' she didn't know, but it had somehow led there naturally. she decided not to over think it. it was harmless flirting between them, right? she hadn't flirted in a long time, and she'd forgotten she was actually pretty good at it. she would leave from here after her three hour time was up, and he'd forget about her and she would forget about him. she may see him at some government function he was assigned to protect or something, but she figured she could avoid any further contact. she could be safe from her emotions that way. s h o u ld i g i v e u p o r s h o u l d i just keep chasing pavements even though it
[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=style,background-image: url('http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g79/Juliart/background_black.jpg');,true][cs=2] L E A D S T O N O W H E R E | [atrb=width,240] Everyone had a past, and he was no exception. He knew that there was a reason Shasta enjoyed lashing out at the people around her, he knew that for a fact, but he was curious to the story behind it. Honestly, it most likely had something to with either her father or a boy from her past, both of which obviously didn’t know what a lovely young woman she was. Her father, just like most rich fathers, Caleb assumed, ignored her and threw money at her to get her off his back. The boy, who most likely had broken her heart, had probably cheated on her with someone and crushed her want to feel secure with a man that knew how to treat her right. He had been in the same boat, he knew how it felt to be pushed aside and ignored like a piece of paper. It hurt and the stung forever remained in the heart. It built a wall, and while Caleb knew when to let his wall down, he was certain Shasta didn’t know when. ”I do. Alright, maybe five times a week. It’s hard looking this good all the time,” he teased, taking another bite from his donut. ”I bet my coworkers over there that can eat a box of donuts in two minutes flat will probably agree with you. But believe what you want; we all don’t have our own personal chef’s” he teased, hoping he wasn’t taking his teasing too far. It was weird, not knowing her limits. And the last thing Caleb wanted to do was hurt her and turn her into a bitch again.
Out of the corner of his eyes, he saw that she paused before taking a small bite of donut. He had hit a nerve, hopefully a good one. He knew what it was like. Caleb knew what it felt like to the extreme. When his mother had died, his father hadn’t known how to get over the untimely death and had thrown money at him. To his father, money was the only way to get over something so devastating. And then his girlfriend, Penelope Winters, had broken his heart into pieces with her cruel words and her need to constantly cheat on him. He had found out about all those one night stands months after they had broken up, but the thought of her continued to damage his heart. The one girl he had let his complete guard down cheated on him with his best friend and it was just…sad. Really really sad. It was one of the things that constantly kept him up at night questioning his existence. That, his father, and why people needed snuggies.
Shoving the last piece of donut into his mouth, he munched on it. He reached behind his back and grabbed the cup of coffee. It was warm now, making him happy at the thought that he wouldn’t have to burn his tongue like every other time he made coffee. Shasta was pretty and just talking to her, he knew that there was no reason he should be rude. She had a life and didn’t want to be here and all he needed to do was let her go home and continue on with her life. But he couldn’t. Caleb was having fun and he didn’t want to leave, he didn’t want her to leave. Rumors would go around about why she was in the cell, but that was alright. As he watched her seductively lick her fingers, he felt his stomach flutter and his groin tighten just a little bit. Shifting his legs, he remembered that it had been forever since he had had sex. Sex was nice and pleasing and because of all his late night shifts, it had pretty much been cut out of his life for the moment. Just the idea that someone was trying to seduce him made his groin rumble and his need for a woman greaten. God, he was a horny bastard that needed to feel relief. ”No, just ones that are pretty, inside and out,” he said, rolling the chair closer to her and leaning his forehead against the bars. ”And I know one when I see one” he whispered, watching her as she leaned back against the wall. Of course policemen weren’t her type, but that didn’t matter. He could change that. He needed to change that, for the sake of his loins and for the sake of his heart. He needed to prove to her, and himself, that love existed. That even though the relationship might not last, the idea of true love was still around in the world. ”But, if policemen aren’t your type, I completely understand” he said, a playful frown appearing on his lips. But he refused to make the first move. She could be his everything, or she could be his nothing. The idea that maybe he wouldn’t be alone too much longer was almost teasing him…that idea alone amazed him.

Whoever said that beauty’s on the inside is a liar
No, just ones that are pretty, inside and out. And I know one when I see one, he commented, leaning toward her so his face was closer than it had been since before she'd attacked him in the hallway. her heart fluttered uncontrollably because of how he was looking at her, and she couldn't resist and small smile crossing her face. he did things to her even if he wasn't trying to, and her body reacted to him quite physically, in ways she'd never felt before. she felt hot on the inside and outside and her stomach, and other things, tingled like she'd swallowed fireworks. shasta was the oldest virgin she knew; most girls her age had long been deflowered. among her friends, she was the only virgin as far as she knew, but she didn't talk about it. the closest she'd ever come to having sex was that night, and since then, she just hadn't thought it was worth it unless it was with a man she truly loved and trusted. she'd trusted her ex once, and he'd betrayed her in the worst way possible. so she hadn't felt the need or desire to sleep with any man since. besides, it hadn't been on her mind much since she'd never found a man who made her insides feel like jello and made her want to straddle him and tell him to screw her no matter who may be watching. swallowing heavily, she tried to push the thought out of her mind that that was exactly what had entered her head when caleb looked at her that way.
"it's true," she agreed with a small smile, shifting her weight and leaning toward him so they were only inches apart. "policemen aren't my type really. i prefer blonds..." she reached up and ruffled his sandy blond hair, "... with grayish blue or green eyes and a chiseled jaw..." she ran a finger down the side of his face until she reached his chin. gently, she pushed his face upward as she gazed into those eyes that were openly inviting her to give herself to him. all she had to do was allow herself to open up. just once. she could do it. she just had to trust him. "a good kisser is always nice too," she finished with a small, sideways smile. slowly, she leaned toward him, closing the last inches between their lips until they met. at first it was a tentative, testing kiss, but as she felt the warmth of his mouth on hers, she couldn't stop. she pressed her mouth against his and her hands slid to where his neck and powerful shoulders met, her fingers grasping at him and pulling him closer as she deepened the kiss.
when she thought her head would explode with the sensation, she finally pulled away from him and slowly opened her eyes. their noses were still almost touching, and her heart was beating faster than it ever had before. usually she was so cool-headed and under control, but somehow caleb made her forget all of that. she'd lost her bitchy outer shell completely, and she felt her soft under layer exposed. at any moment he could hurt her, and she'd been laid out for the killing. shasta smiled shyly at him and sat up to get a better focus on his handsome face. "well at least you're a good kisser," she remarked teasingly, trying to cover her momentary weakness. reaching up, she ran her fingers through his blond hair. she didn't want to move away from him even though she knew she should. how could he take her seriously? this whole affair had begun because she'd beaten him up in the hallway since she'd been a spoiled kid who didn't get her way. "you really think i could be beautiful on the inside?" she asked, her voice dropping to a whisper with a hint of a scared little girl tone to it. she didn't want to be the bitch to kept everyone at arm's reach so she couldn't get hurt. she wanted someone to open up to. heck, one day she had actually hoped to find a guy she felt was worthy to lose her virginity to. as she looked into caleb's eyes, she was surprised to find she felt he could possibly be the one. but he had to prove himself to her first. he seemed like the type to be a fast talker, to sleep around, and to get what he wanted before he moved on. if he was, then she could have her fun with him, but he wouldn't get anymore out of her than the bare necessities. if he made her trust him, however...
she'd never admit she was a virgin to him or anyone else (her friends included), but it was an issue that had become important to her over the years. when that gift had almost been stolen unjustly from her without her permission, she'd started to treasure it like a dragon hoards its treasure. it would remain hers until she died or found someone worthy enough. she had strong values when it came to giving away parts of herself she could never get back. looking into his eyes, she tapped the end of his nose with her finger and smiled at him. "i think you could be," she added, meaning she thought he could be decent on the inside. he didn't need to know the double meaning she was thinking in her head. that would be her little secret. Of course she was good at kissing; he knew she probably had done this millions of times before, like himself. There were no fireworks, just the sensation that he was flying. As their tongues dances, Caleb imagined what would happen if this escalated. But their faces separated from lack of oxygen and he felt his face flush, even though she had started the kiss. It wouldn’t reflect well if anyone was watching the sole camera in the corner because if he was found out making out with the mayor’s daughter, well, it would make it seem as though he was using her. And Caleb was doing anything but. Shasta was a beautiful girl with what he assumed a dark past. No past was perfect, but as he had bantered with her for an hour, he knew it was a defense mechanism. She wouldn’t open up because someone had hurt her in the past, and he understood that. He could take it slow and easy, if that was what she wanted. Granted, he couldn’t guarantee that this relationship would go far in the long run, but perhaps he could help her become a better woman.
A scared tone appeared in her voice and he reached his hand through the bars, stroking her cheek. Yes, yes she was. She was the prettiest girl he had ever looked at and if she didn’t realize that, well, something was wrong with her. Just because she had thrown a little temper tantrum did not mean he thought she was a horrible person. Everyone freaked out and he had not been very sweet either. Sure, he liked girls, but she had layers. Perhaps he could actually hold a conversation with her. ”I wouldn’t lie about that, princess,” he whispered, pressing his lips against her forehead before standing up. Quickly, he unlocked the cell door and turned, his eyes focusing on the camera that was overlooking them. He slid off his jacket and covered the camera, not sure that he wanted people to look at them. Sure, they wouldn’t have sex, but that didn’t mean he wanted the fatties to look at them as they talked and kissed and…well…did other things.
”You are beautiful, inside and out. You have to know that,” he said, nuzzling his face into her neck as he sat down on the close bed. Gently, he pulled her onto his lap before he brought his lips to her. His lips trailed down to her neck and he stopped for a moment, looking at her closely. ”Let me know if you want to stop” Caleb whispered as his lips came close to her ear. The last thing he wanted was to push her out of her limits, to try and push her somewhere she didn’t want to do. That was the worst thing he could possibly do.
He had to control himself and he knew that. The last thing he wanted was to come across as an asshole that just wanted sex. Sex was nice, but he didn’t think that they would immediately start fucking like rabbits on the bed. No, Caleb knew this would slow. He knew, just by the way Shasta had tried killing him an hour before, that she needed to be shown what a good relationship was. His hands rested on the small of her back and he pressed his lips against his as his back hit the wall with a small thud.

Whoever said that beauty’s on the inside is a liar
when he admitted he wouldn't lie to her, she felt a rush of cool relief. sure, he could be lying just then, she knew that, but she didn't think he was even though she was typically cynical about those sorts of things. he brushed her cheek with his hand and then kissed her forehead, and she looked deeply into his eyes, hiding how she felt but watching his every move. she was like the deer watching the hunter, willing to let him have what he wanted even though she knew it could be the end of her. as he stood, she raised a questioning eyebrow but remained silent as he opened the cell door. for a moment, she thought he was going to release her as he covered the camera with his jacket, and she felt a momentary pang of disappointment, but just as soon as that came it flitted away as he entered the cell. he slid down next to her, whispering that she needed to know the value she had, and when he nuzzled against her neck, her eyes rolled back in her head and she suppressed a moan. the five o'clock shadow on his chin tickled her neck, one of her most ticklish areas, and she couldn't help the giggle that replaced the moan she'd managed to control.
she allowed him to pull her gently, strongly, into his lap, and she looked deeply down at him as he pulled her toward him and kissed her. she pressed back against his lips to let him know that she wanted him too, and she reluctantly pulled back as he looked up at her and told her to tell him if he was moving too fast. with a smile, she shifted her weight, allowing one knee to fall on each side of his lap so she was straddling him. her fluffy, peach skirt pooled in his lap and draped down her thighs, revealing her tanned knees. thankfully, the pain in her ankle was forgotten as she looked down into his eyes and looped her arms around the back of his neck. "i'll be sure to let you know if that happens," she commented with a smile. sure, she didn't think she was ready to have sex for the first time right out in the open of the jail where any police officer could walk in on them at any time, but she also knew she wasn't a sissy when it came to the foreplay. that she had done before. she had been the head cheerleader in high school, after all, and that meant making out was certainly not foreign to her. she'd been voted - by the football team who was perverse and liked voting on the traits of the girls around the school - best kisser and best boobs more than once over the course of the four years she'd been in school. heck, she'd even made out with a few of the cops on the police force long before they had beer guts and wives and five children screaming and destroying their homes.
shasta shifted her hips on his lap, creating pressure on his waist where she knew it would tease him the worst, and she leaned down to kiss him hotly on his lips. he fell back against the wall, and she smiled against his mouth as she slipped her tongue between his teeth. crushing her body against his, she bit his lower lip and then sat back slightly, pulling his hands into her control. one hand, she slid onto her thigh beneath her skirt where he couldn't see it but he could feel her soft skin. the other hand, she brought to her mouth and slid his index finger between her lips. sucking on his finger, she looked at him, testing him with her eyes. what did he want from her, she wondered? could it just be sex or something more? she knew she wanted something more even if relationships never lasted. she had an eternal pessimism about 'love' and relationships, but maybe he would prove her wrong for once, for however long. slowly, she extracted his finger out of her mouth and smiled sexily down at him. leaning in, she whispered in his ear, "tell me if you want me to stop."
